Yup they where using him as an opener early on in the shield season

Bancroft has to go he is a liability atm...last week against SA he made 20 off 140 balls just puts pressure on young Carder up the other end. Bangers has lost all confidence and needs to go back to grade cricket

Happy with Whiteman back to open....

Whiteman Carder Marsh stoinis Green Phillipe Inglis ...exciting middle order

Voges is under the pump and so he should be....disgracefull perfomance today to let Tasmania back in and allow Webster to treat them with disdain

I have no doubt that WA will lose the game from here....no backbone what so ever

Voges has two more shield games to produce something otherwise he should be seriously looked at to be moved on

Think I'd still rather keep Whiteman at 4. I'd open with Marsh, slot Stoinis in at 3, then go from there.

Tassie bowlers have also put-bowled the WA bowlers but quite a way too. A big difference in consistency.

Was talking to some friends who work as chefs at the WACA, the rumor mill is as follows:

- Marcus Stoinis called Langer to voice his frustration not being part of the traveling team to South Africa. Langer blasted his attitude and arrogance, and told him he won't be in anytime soon. Apparently Stoinis is the most arrogant cricketer by a mile, struts around in his jocks and claims he's the next Michael Hayden.

- Voges leadership: He just does not command the respect of all the players to the point where many disagree with him tactically, so you have a situation where players either ignore his coaching methods or toe the line to the detriment of their technique.

- Every WA player who has a BBL contract over east think they're God's gift to the game (again, see Stoinis).

I just love love LOVE the locker room goss.

Praise the lord if the Stoinis thing is true! Won’t be missed

That must have been some knock from Webster.

The last two Tassie wickets added 109 runs, towards which 10 & 11 contributed 8.

I watched a fair portion of it and if you forget the drop from Mackin when he was on 97 then it was one of the better Shield innings you will see.

Typical WA

Really needed to win a Shield under Langer, we are now back in a rut and cant see us getting out of it. We are a good 1 day team at best.
Outside of Green, not many have improved.
Bowlers have been very underwhelming. Moody is our leading wicket taker. Kelly has gone backwards. Always injuries. Why dont we have a leg spinner coming through?
Don't get me started on the batting, again, Green the shining light but he's 20 and started the year batting 9, he's putting the rest to shame. Outside of Sos and Green, Stoinis ave 34 (wants to play test cricket!!), Phillippe ave 31, Inglis ave 29, Bancroft 13. Always the same issue, 1 bloke gets runs, rest fail and then another bloke gets some the next game.

I'm so sick of the inconsistency. Losing to SA and probably Tas just sums up our plight.

This, really sums up our shield since 1998/99

Get used to it, we arent winning a shield until things change

Is Paris a potential test option?

60 wkts @ 23.5 & a batting average of 24 is now a decent body of work..

He's averaging around 2.5 wkts an innings with a SR of 47.
