Couldn't believe that Hawthorn, of all clubs, famed for the toughness of some of their legends, are apparently concerned that the Grand Prix will make it too noisy for them to play footy.

''What effect will the noise have on high performance athletes who run around at intense levels on potentially a hot day?''

Give me a break? As I've written here many times lately, what is the game coming to? This is surely an embarrassmment for the Hawk supporters, who at least have another excuse to add to the catalogue following a loss.

Sounds like a bit of publicity to me. They should shut the roof anyway as the shadows at colonial on a sunny day are the worst thing, especially when watching on TV. I can't believe the say colonial is 'made' for TV

And Hawthorns marking options at both ends would mean that a closed roof would be a distinct advantage over Melbourne, who rely on the ball spilling to farmer or being passed off to running forwards from schwartz

I love the way the Dorks said "We feel sorry for the Grand Prix organisers, who has to go up against the Ansett Cup clash".

There is only one sporting event that day; and it sure as hell ain't the Hawthorn v Melbourne game.

Hey, isn't Hawthorn v Melbourne an Intra-Club match anyway?

The GP is no where near Coronial Stadium.
Just sounds like a publicity stunt.

All Hawks & Dee's should be quiet during the game otherwise you might disturb a players thoughts.

It is weird how you all call Hawthorn pussies yet we still finished 6th last year and beat a lot of top teams on the way. So why dont you Collingwood poofs all go and shove it wear it belongs. And how can an intraclub involve Hawthorn and Melbourne. They are different clubs, intraclub matches are played within one club. So what I think is that you Collingwood supporters should get a brain before you make posts.

Please Melbourne supporters make as much noise as you can because if you do then the hawks will probably leave the ground in protest. This excuse would only come from the hawks. I haven't heard anyone from the demons complain about such things.

It's just a ruse to get the roof closed.

Think about it - the hawks have played 6 games at colonial for 5 wins - all with the roof closed.

Demons have played some day and some night.

And still conditions will suit Hawthornes many Marking forwards and backs.

And melbourne fans making noise - pleeese !

How many times do I have to tell you all? The Hawks finished 6th last year, whats it matter if they go out there trying to impress the chicks in the crowd? Most guys do wanna impress the chicks, only Adelaide gays dont!.

SS11, so everytime you bite into a chocolate bar your really thinking about consuming excerta? Or any gold that you might wear (ring, bracelet, necklace) is really your subconscious desire to immerse yourself in urine?

>The concept of black and white. White is the presence of all color and is obtained by adding red, green, and blue. Black on the other hand is the absence of all color and is obtained by combining cyan, magenta and yellow.<

See, your own side cant even claim to have real colours. Just an amalgam of everyone elses.
