Tier 1 WW Player
A few days late but didn't have time before now. This is mostly based on stats etc.
1. Matthew Renshaw (4 matches, 425 runs, average 70.83, 3x 100's, 1x 50). Renshaw clearly the standout opener, if not batter for the season so far. Good chance at earning a recall into the Australian side soon.
2. Henry Hunt (6 matches, 412 runs, ave 41.2, 1x 100, 2x 50's). Hunt has had a solid season so far, clearly the second best opener of the year so far with a much superior average to Bancroft, Konstas and Kellaway.
3. Marnus Labuschagne (4 matches, 402 runs, ave 67, 2x 100's, 1x 50, c). Lab started the season on fire and he'll be keen to continue it post BBL, looking very good in the Ashes so far as well.
4. Tim Ward (6 matches, 443 runs, ave 40.27, 1x 100, 2x 50's). Ward is the leading run scorer this season but his struggles in converting 50's into tons has continues, going to 3 and 20 for his career.
5. Jake Lehmann (6 matches, 426 runs, ave 42.6, 2x 100's, 1x 50). Lehmann has had an excellent season, finally fulfilling the promise some saw long ago and deserving his spot in the side at this point.
6. Liam Scott (5 matches, 360 runs, ave 45, 1x 100, 1x 50; 12 wickets, average 28.66, econ 2.62, SR 65.5, 0x 5-for). Scott has been the standout allrounder with bat and ball this season, chipping in with wickets in most games whilst making more runs than all of his counterparts.
7. Jake Doran (6 matches, 368 runs, ave 36.8, 0x 100's, 2x 50's; 28 dismissals, +). Doran has the most dismissals of any keeper, as well as over 100 runs more than the closest keeper to him so it's the easiest selection in this side by a long way.
8. Mitchell Perry (5 matches, 22 wickets, ave 19.54, ER 2.89, SR 40.54, 1x 5-for). Perry has been fantastic with the ball this season, leading the attack on a few occassions and getting the big wickets by and large.
9. Corey Roccicchioli (6 matches, 20 wickets, ave 28.2, ER 3.17, SR 53.3, 1x 5-for). Rocc has had a solid season, whilst Swepson has 1 more wicket, Rocc has a much better average and strike rate than the Queensland leggie.
10. Matt Kelly (4 matches, 21 wickets, ave 19.33, ER 2.91, SR 39.8, 2x 5-for). Kelly was the leading wicket taker for the year before going down for the last couple of games before the break, and if fit come post BBL break will be a good chance of winning it.
11. Liam Hatcher (5 matches, 22 wickets, ave 19.4, ER 3.84, SR 30.27, 1x 5-for). Hatcher's had a break out season so far, only missing one game due to Starc and Hazlewood playing.
