You realise you're being no different to SoHo about the rape allegations?!?

And yes it was a one off photo. Like others said, the other photos which were taken at the same time the hand gesture (if you can call it that) was different.

Bullshit.

I have watched the footage of celebrations tonight on Fox IQ.

Cameron Wood is doing some ridiculous hand puppet gesture that a few players laugh at (nothing untoward), but the alleged "Shocker" hand gesture was held by Blair for 10 - 15 seconds. He wanted that statement seen.

Funny that, you seemed to have time to give your opinion on both the Dawesy's ball and Tarrant back at Collingwood thread in that time. Like I said tell someone who cares, considering the club obviously don't, I really have no sympathy for you :o

Stalking are we?

You don't have to assume I am telling you... just voicing my opinion on an internet forum! Am I not allowed to? What are you doing her then?

Thanks for your non sympathy - I didn't really need it either way:confused:

So if it was a sexual hand gesture or not...

Would it matter to anyone?

Some perspective

Meanwhile

About 5 hours before "the shocker" was photographed at Etihad stadium on Friday night.

10,000+ humans going about their everyday tasks , each one with plans hopes and dreams of their life on this earth , lost their lives.

As John Kennedy said , "Son , it's later than you think"

The shocker , in the whole scheme of things , is not really that big a dealnow , is it ?

Depends on how you see The Shocker. As you can see Blair's thumb sticking out on this one:

You don't know the meaning of it at all, you're just jumping to the conclusion that it's a bad hand gesture and you're upset your son might learn it. Funny thing is like everyone is saying, most people didn't know what The Shocker was, didn't notice it, and don't even think it's that bad. Better than other obvious hand gestures.

By the way, hope you don't say words like bullshit in front of your son! :p

10 - 12 seconds on camera... he holds the gesture. Few bumps etc here and there it going to change. The footage doesn't Lie.

Kinda why I asked if it was a sexual gesture of not etc... Lets say it's not. What's so important that it needs to be in the photo's of our documented History?

Or is it not about our History... it's about Blairs?

(Kinda my point - really)

You are so right

I say hold onto that poster, could fetch a lot in time like Pee Wee Herman dolls.

I appreciate the passion Smokey, but really, is this poster so traumatic an event? If your son notices and bothers to ask at all, tell him a fib a la Santa, and when he's old enough I'm sure he will have a laugh - if in fact it is a shocker. Other's have claimed it to be a thriller.

What an age we live in!

Fair enough...

We do have eternity to look at that photo (of Blairs).

Smoky, has your misus got a new job.:p

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/a...how-more-respect/story-e6frf9jf-1226022115920

Victorian Women's Trust president Mary Crooks said it was clear the message of respect was not getting through.

"This takes your breath away," Ms Crooks said.

"It's demeaning towards women and towards what was a handsome victory for the team.
"I'm sick and tired of people defending acts like this as 'just a joke'."

Seriously though, she does not know what she is talking about, no one, and I mean no one other then Blair (if it was him) knows exactly what he meant by the hand gesture, let alone some spokeswomen for the Women's Trust.

I hope when Collingwood does prepare it's report, the truth comes out, one way or another, and we can all move on from this pathetic attempt to derail our quest for back to back flags.

Oh, and I love the
One angry fan
quote in the article, oh no, ONE ANGRY FAN, run for the hills, ban the whole playing list, NOW.:o;)

... Well as Syphoncom has stated.

Can you believe it guys? They write the Hreald Sun for me!

I am so important and the entire voice of opinion!

(Opti - "Quite clearly" I'm allowed an opinion on an internet forum, if you don't care about my opinion... then no one is forcing you to quote me and respond to me??? You do that on your own.)

If you don't agree... cool. Telling me no one cares but me... So how many Billion people are you quoting on that???

Calm down.

TBH - I wouldn't mind an explanation...

Opening line of my first post on this thread.

Collingwood need to come out with a statement clearing this up.

Closing line of the first post I made on this thread.

Single father Bro... If you want to find out what she's doing you'll have to speak to my solicitor:D

Queue everyone saying I can't believe what gutter trash the media are etc... blah, blah, blah...

So if there was no hand gesture... what would the story be?

So it was posted in Saturday's paper and people are so concerned five days later. No one would have cared or even noticed if an unnecessary beat up was made. It's not news worthy. Helen Lovejoy correct!

Besides the fact that this story is a complete load of crap and sensationalised by the usual morons, what sort of way is that to hold a lady?

Don't you just hold them like a six pack? (remember the old joke, whe are the holes so close?)

The biggest shocker of this entire story is that it is a story at all. The Melbourne media's fixation with footy scandals has become ridiculous.

Having said that, if I was to make the same hand gesture in my work photo, I would no doubt be pulled aside by my boss and asked to explain and probably told to smarten up. Blair was representing the club and should have been more professional. It sounds like he has now apologized (link) so time to move on to slightly more important things that are happening in the world.

Ok...

Lets say it was paying homage to a band... who? why? Did they help us win a flag?

Arizona?.... I mean really?

A Sexual act? After the heat Collingwood took in the media after the FALSE allegations after our flag what 4 months ago - surely no one would be dumb enough to advocate a sexual act in the pre season grand final flag photo?

Ohh, but is it just fun and games!

Something else?

Harry has been twittering all day about it - you reckon he might want to spread the word that it wasn't something untoward???

maybe next time the players will be instructed to be motionless. raise their hands in unison. put them down. walk off stage. be quiet. sit down. don't celebrate. don't show flair. don't show your personality. i mean, its only the end of what was the longest, hardest season of your life and you've finally reached the end after months and months of gruelling training and pain... what gives them you the right to celebrate the way you want to?

--

this is by the way the most ridicolous event i have EVER seen blown out of proportion. i am absolutely flabergasted that it has any legs to stand on to be honest.
