We don't relate our freedom to guns. We never had a revolution. Probabl those

Probably something like that. But why does one need guns to gain their own independence? Look at Catalonia now. The people of Catalonia want independence from Spain - and are very prepared to enter negotiations with the Spanish Government to get that independence.

Why would anyone believe Catalonia won't soon be independent of Spain? In a modern society there would seem to be no reason why they couldn't achieve this independence.

The only problem is the Spanish authorities have started arresting Catalan officials.

Not sure how that can happen - why don't the Catalans stop them doing this? I must admit - it doesn't make much sense. How can the Spanish just waltz into Catalonia and start arresting officials! Seems crazy doesn't it - but it's also crazy that the Catalans didn't assert their rights and prevent the Spanish making these arrests.

Can anyone explain to me why the Catalans would just let their officials be arrested by Spanish authorities so meekly?

Are there any updates why this ****** did it yet?

IS? Right wing nutter? Brain tumor?

Anything?

Pretty sure he was a Christian baker asserting his god-given rights.

Could be the frog talking.

Why not left wing nutter?

The greens, tree huggers, peaceniks and lefties dont produce too many mass murderers mate. They're almost invariably religious or political conservatives.

After Islamic terrorists (religious conservatives) leading the charge, right wing terrorists and sovereign citizen types (Brevik, McVeigh, Roof etc) and ultra nationalists come a close second.

For real? I thought Stalin, Kim jonggs etc killed many...

Didn't Stalin kill more than Hitler?

Horseshoe theory. Those guys were ultra socialists that desired equality (left wing) at the barrel of a gun through violence and ultranationalism (right wing).

Didn't Stalin kill more than Hitler?

Yeah, and neither were 'terrorists' as defined. Tyrants and mass murderers, but not terrorists.

Ellen encourages gambling?

Hollywood bowled in with a major surprise scandal to shove the Vegas slaughter out of the news cycle, as if right on cue. And celebrity talk show hosts not to be sidelined have come out of their studios to make everyone feel safe again at the slots.

Bravo. Assholes. :clapping::clapping::clapping:

I like this soundtrack to the end of the accountant.

Overall, as ol mate pee35 would agree..

Looks like Mr Patsy has his boxes ticked with the infamous father and connections.

At the end of the day, technology impacts at greater rates than governance can accommodate.

I don't understand why we haven't seen video footage of this guy checking in/moving around the casino yet.

With Sandy Hook I could understand them not wanting to release the security camera footage of the guy who was about to take the lives of 20 children. But with this, surely they could have released some tape from one of the hundreds of cameras in that building that show what this guy's movements were in the days/hours leading up to the shooting.

I'm not saying that there's any conspiracy here. But the police have already been caught lying once about the shooter's timeline, and there's been very little released about the shooter's personal life that would lead to the discovery of a motive. It's a bit strange.

I don't think they have any obligation to release evidence while they are still investigating do they?

She's a very powerful 'Hollywood' player ol Ellen.

Hollywood gifts our fake reality... but would we have it any other way?

Rapists, pretentious, agenda driven, money grubbing assholes isn't all bad is it?

Gambling ruins many more lives than firearm-related homicides. Ellen spruiking the MGM Grand after a professional gambler shot 600 people is like the NSA coming to town after Sandy Hook.

It's possible, but unlikely, that he was radicalised by IS.

For
- IS claimed Paddock was a "soldier of the caliphate" said he converted six months ago, and was known as Abu Abdul Barr al-Amriki
- IS made their claims, not just on the Amaq News Agency, they made it on Nashir, which is one of their official channels. They also put out a celebratory video that showed clips from the press conference that followed the carnage in Las Vegas.
- IS rarely claim attacks that they are not responsible for or have inspired
- Paddock had visited the Middle East in the last year
- he not only had guns, he had 22 kilograms of ammonium nitrate. And apparently planned to escape, which might indicate a political agenda rather than a psychotic shoot fest.

Against
- there is no evidence that he was radicalised
- there is no evidence of communication with IS
- he does not fit the profile of typical converts - he would be the oldest IS recruit from the US by about a decade
- recently IS have made a couple of bogus claims for attacks

Paddock started accumulating a large collection of guns in October 2016. You would think investigators would be focusing around that time to work out his motive.

You'd think they'd patriot act the s**t out of it and track down his internet history.

Probably have, and no announcement within a few days of the incident probably tells us there's no link. The cynic in me thinks the US government would want it out there asap if it were terrorism.

What a position Ellen has forged. Bit of a shame she's a slippery slope of moral fluidity.

Pure freedom suggests our ability to accept everything, but in practice the modern capital machine enslaves and corrupts everyone.

Our say 'Yes' pressured reality is fostered through marketing and apart from recent events has been a purely monetary campaign designed to exploit people.

A yes person has become the modern equivalent of an easy going person.

The ability to say no diminishes the stranglehold of perfected psychological capital warfare we are all constantly under.

As annoying and boring as boundaries and intolerance are...

The opened armed approach to 'yes' in all it's forms actually aids our capital enslavement and trivial/communal bickering.

The future is bleak.

So if there's absolutely no conspiracy, why do you need to see it for yourself?

Why would you not just trust the news and information as it comes to hand?

Maybe you just want to ask questions like a rational person and don't want to be disregarded with the banal and intellectually stifling term "conspiracy theorist".

******* hell America.

The next time some dude taps you on the shoulder and pushes for a Bill of Rights in Oz, remind them of the 2nd amendment to the USA's.

Any news on motivation? Islamist nutter, Right wing nutter, or generic nutter?
Any update on what type of nutter this ended up being?
