Holly crap. Where do I start. Throw EVERYTHING at the Doggies for Harris. We need a fullback and we need one FAST.

How about getting some crumbers. Matthew Bode is by far the best crumber we have in the side yet he is either getting the splinters on the bench or playing away in SANFL. Second best crumber in our team is Ladhams and we play him in the backline.

We need hunters. And then some more hunters.

So many holes and not enough solicon to fill them :(

Some serious tough decisions have to be made come the end of the season.

I actually feel sorry for Ayres. There is so much he can do but when the match time comes around its up to players to pull their finger out.

I think Players deserve more baking and those bricks than Ayres. There is so much he can do but when it really comes down to it players have to perform and they are NOT.

Can we expect to see John Reid on the news saying "umm it appears we were a little hasty... we'll now be aiming for a top-12 finish"

Let's not dice words here - the club genuinely thought (as much as both ant and I knew better) that we were a top-4 side. How inept is our football operations team and coaching staff if they truly believed that?

The player aren’t leaving watts (our best option as forward pocket) out of the team.
and they are not leaving Bode (our only genuine in and under and crumber) out of the team.
I don’t think ladahms chose the back pocket.
You recon we could have used smart’s run or his holding of tarrent?
And if one or two were not manning up then it’s their fault BUT when 18 of them don’t??????
IM SICK OF THIS CRAP.
And quite frankly stiffy YOU could coach that team better than that ******.

Looks like we might have a full back in waiting! - Fergus Watts!! :p :D ;)

Seriously though, I felt all along the difference between the two sides tonight would be Rocca and Tarrant - well I was half right!
so do you go for a guy to stop the other good guys or look for a good guy up forward to get the score on the board -( if you know what i mean - and i havent had any ports yet! - but it is getting close - the replays on - must catch that 1st 20 minutes!!)

You will probably say one at each end anyway!!

Brett Burton, Brent Reilly, Ian Perrie, Kris Massie, Scott Stevens, Jacob Schuback, Michael Doughty, James Gallagher, Robert Shirley, Haydn Skipworth, Ben Rutten, Marty Mattner for starters.

All depends on what's coming the other way.

What? You mean draft/recruit:

McLeod
Johnson
Edwards
Goodwin
Vardy
Jarman
Connell
Koster
Ellen
Caven
Bond

... and let Blight take 110% of the credit after he leaves?

I like the way Snrub thinks!

Those are the type of blokes we should keep.
As I said above. Depends what we get in exchange. Would you give up these 2 and a second round pick to get Ottens??

No because the point of this years trading and drafting period should be to build a side for the next 10 years. Trading 2 of our better youngsters for a middle age player is not the way to go IMHO. Especially since both are midfielders.

I got home in time to watch the second half, and the first thing that got me was the speed of the game, or more precisely the lack of.
Not sure if it was the camera angles or what, but going on that effort both Adelaide and Collingwood need to invest in a couple of quicker players.

Ottens was 24 in January. He's barely in the Carey category.

Ottens could be a matchwinner for us.

Schuback is only a handy player at best IMO.

Reilly has potential, but keeps getting injured. Year 3 on our list and zero impact.

We'll just have to differ once again!! ;)

Ottens is not in the Carey category but he IS middle age as far as footballers go.

Schuback and Reilly should be playing NOW but that entirely different story.

Fact is Ottens will be 25 at the start of next year. Reilly and schuback will be 21 and both are capable of becoming very very good players for our footy club. We need young midfielders with pace so why would we be trading 2 of those players for someone like Ottens. Its players in the 25-28 year category that we should be trading, not the 18-24 year olds.
