Apprently the rules on shorts have now changed. At channel 7's subsidiary the AFL's request, teams with white in their shirts always wear white shorts, the others wear dark. If two teams with white in shirts play then I assume the home team reverts to dar shorts, dut if two teams with dark shorts play, the away team will revert to white.

Apparently Hawthorn were confused the other night and turned up in white shorts as they and Port had been ordered to switch.

Funny that, Recently Hawthorn wore dark everywhere and were tols to change at the beginning of last year. Now they change back, unless playing Essendon, Richmond, Crows, Brisbane, Melbourne, who also have dark shorts

Confused anyone ?

Does Blighty and Shehan hate each other or what ? I keep watching in case one of them goes the punch

Healey seems to have toned down for TV, or perhaps it's because he hasn't got that idiot cricketer from 3AW revving him up

I personally liked the guy Laurence from the couldabeens but perhaps they wanted a face for TV

who wouldnt like to see pin head shehan get punched by blighty.

also interesting was blights response to the dermie comment (rehashed by shehan) about not considering adelaides future while coach.
he didnt like that assertion one bit did he ?

A.

When we played Sydney (over here), they wore red, and we wore blue. I thought one team had to wear white? So yeah, I'm completely confused...
At least Hawthorn don't still wear those yellow shockers!

BTW/ What do you think of the recent change in length? I think there's only one or two teams that still wear even remotely short shorts, rather than the rugby style.

Bighty's middle name seems to be NARKY. Just cannot take any criticism at all can he?
Looking at Adelaides playing list they DID recriut for short erm and they bloody did it well.
I used to love talking footy in the first season but now Blight is so negative Sheahan just seems talk in monologue of his what he thinks is good for the game and ignores what the guests say, and Healy well we all know that one........................

Who wouldn't like to punch Sheahan's lights out if they fopund themselves sitting next to the guy ?

Sheahan is nothing more than a dreadful tabloid hack, always looking for some kind of 'angle' to beat up so he can write another article about it in his crap Murdoch rag of a newspaper.

And at the end of the day he doesn't even do what he does with any real flair. His writing style is pitched at a 14 year old reader, not grown adults who are sophisticated in their knowledge and appreciation of the game.

As for Blight - who invited this weirdo back on Talking Footy ?

If he doesn't like sharing the couch with a bad journalist and a Channel 7 'personality' like Gerard Healy then what is he there for ? I don't think he has had one serious or constructive thing to say since the season started. He just seems to spend all of his time grimacing at Sheahan and smirking at Healy.

To be fair on Dermie, He did raise the same comment at the beginning of last season on the sunday show about adelaide recruits. That was long before Ayresy was appointed Adelaide coach so When Blighty accused dermie of merely defending Ayresy the was way off

Whoever employed blighty for anything more than incidentalcomment should be forced to watch all his old appearences, including the time he bored the xxxx of everyone when the lights went out at waverley

I just thought I'd ressurrect the Shorts thing. It struck me that Carlton in Dark Blue and the Swans in Red looked really pleasing on the TV., so having one side in Dark and the other in white is not really neccessary all the time. I have also noticed that while the Eagles have different home and away guernseys they do change for the other one if there is a clash. But perhaps the Roos could have had the bright blue shirts when playing the Hawks, and the doggies allowed the bright blue against a team with black or dark blue shorts.

Perhaps the AFL should publish a table with the options so the clubs know where they are. I suppose the remaining clashes might be (under the new policy) Adelaide, Carlton, Essendon, Melbourne when they play each other and North, Collingwood, Bulldogs. Saints, Geelong when they play each other
