It's been widely reported that jake lever is off at the conclusion of this season. Why then, should adelaide give him the honour of playing in the grand final and potentially winning a premiership? He was ordinary against geelong and has one foot out the door already so I don't see why they would keep him. Richmond have a mosquito fleet that could be covered by the other adelaide defenders.

A premiership player is worth more at the trade table.

If they were gonna do it then it should've been halfway through the sEason. Would never jeopardise a flag to rub a blokes nose in it, even if he is a prick

They won't drop Lever for the reasons you are suggesting. But they should drop a tall down back, just superfluous against Richmond

Hawks won a flag with Buddy knowing he was gone. All parties were professional.
Pick your best 22. The flag is priority 1 2, & 3.

But hawthorne didnt know Buddy was effectively "Gone" after his GF.

It wasnt public knowledge.

Im pretty sure both Melb and Adelaide know that after this week, he wont be in an Adelaide jumper again

I see a difference with what Lever is doing an what Budd did.
