We've had Marvel tenants play at the G, we've had the Swans play at ANZ, it's a home state final and the AFL picks the venue

No. AFL needs to be consistent. If it is a home state final, as they have said, it should be played at the G.

I do think that Geelong should host finals at KP, but if they do, it should not matter who the opposition team is. Otherwise it is just another built in advatantage for Melbourne teams.

The Geelong home finals matches are either all at the MCG, or None of them. It can't be dependant on the size of the opposition
The only time a final should ever be played in Geelong is in Week 1 IF 4 Victorian teams are hosting.

MCG tenants played finals at Marvel. Interstate teams hosted finals at the MCG etc

AFL picks the ground to suit their needs not the "home" club.
Yep all true. Home state. Where there is more than one AFL standard ground they can manipulate, where there isn't...

They should have played the pies at GMHBA as they should get to play West Coast at GMHBA.

Geelong earnt the right finishing first.
No they didn't. Finals don't care.
It's home state up until the GF assuming contractual obligations can be met, then it's "home" team at the G.
Top four gets you the double
4th can host 2nd in a prelim for example, ladder position sets the match ups and the state they happen in and that's it
