Should I report a conflict of interest in employment practises to head office and the minister?

The school i work at in metropolitan Adelaide is about to employ its 2nd family member who is straight out of uni for 2021 of a leadership person, who already used her influence as a senior teacher to get her future husband a job at the school.

But that's not all. He is going to be mentored by his uncle who is a mature age newbie to teaching who himself is in his 3rd year and not the best teacher going around. Many good teachers lost contracts who don't have those connections.

Should I just ignore it, but I feel this is not only insulting to those who work hard but the profession gets slammed for shit teachers. Where's the incentive for these guys to improve. Anyways

About 8 years ago I turned in my manager for hiring his friend on a contract, paying him 2,000 dollars a day and then paying him even when he had sick days. Mentioned it to HR who said "he can do what he wants with his budget 3 weeks later I was demoted, stripped of my pay rise. and had someone hired above me. I just left since it wasnt a good job to begin with anyway.

GOAT of all things though is my manager took the person in HR'S job title and he subsequently got the sack. The irony wasnt lost on me. Walked past him this year at the football. Laughed my ass off, slapped him on his back and said "Told you so mate" then walked off.
 
Good on you for thinking that will make a difference. Nepotism in sa gov is a joke, HR/IR/minister wont do a thing about it because they themselves benefit greatly from nepotism and angering someone leadership doesnt benefit them directly. Nothing will change

Its not an icac issue. But its a minister and head office issue. Its a huge conflict of interest. I do believe if I send it to the media the minister will have to step in. Lots of people here are not happy.

Nepotism is corruption and therefore an ICAC issue. They will huff and puff but ultimately do nothing though

Honestly, you're wasting your time thinking anything will change. HR has processes in place. So long as they're following those, they can say the person is hired on 'merit-based selection'. End of discussion. We've all seen this countless times

The sooner you come to terms with the fact HR/ICAC/IR & all these types of departments are pointless and in no way, shape, or form there to help employees, but protect management, the sooner you can get on with whatever else you want to do instead.
