Should Pies and Bombers fans get over it????

Since I have come to bigfooty I reckon there's been about (honestly) 80 - 100 threads that have been infected in some way with what is now the most boring topic on the boards:

Do Collingwood or Essendon have more supporters?

Every time, the same things are said, the same stats are brought up.

Personally, I don't care. The pies fans want recognition for something (as trivial as it is) after winning 1 flag in 40 years, while the Bombers fans (or maybe just Dan) get sucked into the argument, rather than just saying: "SCOREBOARD".

But what do you all think? Is it as boring as I (and Tiger Tank ) find it?

I'm confused, isn't by posting this topic, again bringing up the magpies....and the bombers?
I'm more than happy to talk about things other than the pies but when people bring up topics bagging them then obviously people will reply with MORE dribble about them and that's how it all starts.

I don't necessarily mind them talking about their club (although Collingwood fans' over the top talk of premierships is a bit ridiculous), its the 'who has more supporters' argument that is annoying. Sure I started this topic risking the fact that the two clubs would be talked about again....but what other way is there to tell them that they are flogging a dead horse with the debate?

I agree with fatboy here. It's getting boring. You only have to look at the parasite that started the last thread about crowd figures as well as his sychophantic followers, to show that collingwood fans are more concerned about crowd sizes than they are about winning flags.

I am sure he (or she which is more likely) gives thanks to Collingwood's existence every day in their prayers as it gives meaning to their own existence. If not for Collingwood The Abuser would only have the collection of his or her three dole cheques in different names to look forward to each fortnight.
