I believe that we should target Ben Brown.
- we can get him at a good price.
- Him and Charlie would cause serious headaches for any backline.
- The game is trending towards a 3-4 tall forward line
-back up if Charlie, Mitch or Toddy get injured.
- a good bloke that will fit in well at Alberton.
- That second BIG target which will suit our front half style game.
- reliable set shot.

In short: no
We already have a set up that works with Dixon as the main guy up forward, Todd or MG up there also, and then Ladhams or Lovett resting forward, I don’t think we need to overclock the forward line. He’d be better served at another club for his own sake and it’s not a glaring need for us so I think Port will pass.

No. He’s 1 dimensional, slow and soft. Doesn’t fit with our surge style and will take valuable development from either Marshall, Ladhams, Mitch G.

He’d also command some $.

I’d take him as a rookie list backup in case Dixon had a season ending injury.

with Buzza gone, I'm open to the idea

It's insurance with Marshall's development and Dixon's age

If either go down long term, we are exposed. Let's not forget Dixon's ankle injury could have been career ending.

Exactly, also having Mitch and Todd playing high half forward, Ladhams and Lycett rotating off the bench or plugging holes across half back, we have plenty of run and crumbers to accommodate...just a thought.

No. Too expensive, not a need, not a good fit.

Also lol at the people mentioning the idea of getting him as 'insurance'. He kicked 180+ goals over three seasons before this year, he's not moving anywhere to play state league football.
