Should Tarrant come back in for the Crows match?

We have done a fantastic job to get 6 & 2 with all our injuries why should we risk all that by bringing Taz back and risk having him break down, surely wiser heads will prevail on Taz.

None of our short term injuries Reid,Swan,Tarrant or Browny should be played until after the bye if we can win 2 out of the next 3 that will get us to 8 & 3
at the bye a big achievement and we must not risk that with rash decisions.

We get this match against the Crows out of way and I am not sure having Taz there will make a difference but it could make a big difference to our season if he were to go down.

I am also in favour of giving Pendles a rest if there are any ?,s about his fitness we just do not risk players like him, young Players like Seedsman,Ugle,Paine if over his ankle,I also would not mind giving Ceglar a try same with Wood, with all the injuries should get a little game time not all at once, but definitely against the Suns,Giants and to a lesser extent the Dees we have to be creative with our players after all the injuries.

So in short no Taz against the Crows not worth the risk.

Double edged sword. Yes get him back now, if the doc says he is ready to go, pull the trigger, we have plenty of others to fill in if he goes down.

No, why make him travel, why risk him when really were only a 40-60 chance of winning and we are in such a good position now.

So, should Taz come in this week, stuffed if I know!

Beating geelong means we can afford to lose to the crows, what we can't afford is another long term injury to a key player, leave him at home.

That's the one. We had to win one of Geelong or Adelaide and we got it, so no need to bring in under-prepared players.

Coaching staff need to throw something a little unusual at Adelaide this week so a full running back half might be the thing. Pendles will cop the Van Berlo tag so it's really ready for a big Cloke night, he's our best chance.

I'll leave it to the club to decide.

Just like every week :thumbsu:

I don't think he will play, think they will give him at least 1 more run in the VFL.

As some have said I really think the real battle will be in the midfield. Crows really dominated today and Tippett got his 3 goals in the last when the game was over.

bring him in and play him forward with goldsack going down back. i know goldy has been good but if we can win this game we can turn the halfway mark at 9-2 allowing swan, reid, brown a full month of recovery before playing west coast in round 12.
playing taz maybe a risk but have him in the goal square leading out and working to how we want him to work and not be dictated by the opposition playing down back. if taz does injure himself he will still have 3 or even more weeks to recover as we will have brown and reid back by then.
i would also play wood as i can see jolly getting flogged by jacobs around the ground like he was in the pre season game.

Bring him back when he's ready.

would be crazy to risk tarrant or any other injured player this week. if pendles is struggling with the calf he should also be left home. as arrogant as it sounds, we can afford to lose this week. with basically three weeks of byes to follow (suns in melb, dees, official bye) we are still going to be 8-3 at the half way mark. who wouldn't have taken that if it was offered in the aftermath of the carl game? and we will have got there despite continued bad luck with injs to key players

most important thing is to have a fit list to hit the 2nd half of the year with. with freo and wce both at the G to follow the bye, we can get to 10-3. yes eagles will be tougher, but with no le cras kennedy embley or nicoski they won't be beating coll at the G in an important game. and from 10-3 and with a relatively healthy list (touch wood), we are the team to beat without a doubt in the world

How could u know that? what happens if we miss out on the top 4 by 1 win and it was because we didnt care about this game... u go into every game 100% trying to win, if taz can get up then play him, if his still injured then dont, if fitness is a problem make him sub.

This is a huge game. If we win this we will probably go into the bye 9-2 and from there we should finish top 4. I would be tempted to play Tarrant. If he pulls up well after the VFL game then I'd play him. He's just as likely to get hurt playing a full VFL game. The questiojn is how fit he is. That's a medical assesment.

Yes, Tarrant should come back in with all our talks out. If he's fit enough to play VFL then put him up as we need him now. Worst case scenario is he plays forward and Goldy goes back.

Dawes to the backline? Nothing can be gained from this. His last two games have been encouraging when up forward.

He's been out for 5 weeks, had a sighter in the VFL last week- bring him in!

Come on Taz!!

Taz has been out for 5 weeks but he only lasted a qtr in the only match he has played in top flight football this season,it will be a mistake playing him too soon we need him later in the season Reid already has suffered the same injury twice this season.
