Adelaide would have been best served by refuting McDermott's claims, but not attacking him personally and giving the ammunition to start this little conflagration.

Your right it would have been better for the club if they had concentrated on the positives that they do & left out the word "ignorant" in reply to Chris McDermott's claims.

But in a way i'm glad Phil Harper didn't.

Well that's quite possible Noddy. To be honest talking about Rucci's articles isn't something that I do with my friends.

I am not a fan of Rucci. Don't get me wrong. I am not talking him up. But I think some people on here take anything written (not just from Rucci but anyone) to ridiculous levels of paranoia at times.

But I don't think my opinion should be seen as the norm for all fans, just like I don't think the opinion of several people on here should be seen as the norm for all Crows fans.

Fair enough ****, just bring on the bloody footy.

I think many of us are happy to accept criticism when it is based on fact, research and properly written.

Neither Rucci nor Bone fit into this category.

Some of Cornsey's criticism has been spot on in the past as has articles by Lance Campbell in his early days and by eastern states journalists I have read.

Many of us here were openly critical of the Crows last year, and of course that was us not understanding things as well? Can't have it both ways Mr Rucci.

Good to see Rucci rallying around for the moderatly talented journalists club.

Ignorant only means lack of knowledge. would have thought teh facts of the case pretty much showed up McDermott on their own, so I agree the use of the word ignorant, whilst correct in my view, would have better been left out.

Oh and by the way, I think Port do a great job in many areas and my reaftion to Bone's comments in no way related to being upset that Port were doing good things.

I gotta say, one thing I've notices since Trigg took over, is that the club seems to be spending a hell of a lot of time reacting to the media.

Examples would be comments last season that Ayres wouldn't last the season. (Rucci etc)

That Craig had the job sewn up (Cornes etc)

Chocko the other week mentioning that they had adopted some of our training drills.

This weeks McDermott comments

etc.

It just seems they are pretty easy to get riled at the moment.

or it might be a reflection of the number of bull$hit articles being written about the club in the past year or so

I agree on both counts Jars.

Looks like the Advertiser Sports' Department have started their own "bigfooty gang"

Maybe - maybe not. Some may have been unnecessary .... some were not that far off the mark.

I remember last year having no doubt Ayres was gone. So I dont think anyone was too far off on that one. I also have a feeling that this forum had a fair bit about whether he would stay at the time.

Likewise the Cornesy comments re the coaching position were a reflection of the general feelings on here.

Rucci today seemed to be a reaction about some stuff that happened last year.

You have to be careful about trying to censor people that dont always say what you want .... otherwise were in danger of having and Adelaide media contingent of KG and Mark Bickley - who normally sound like they are on the payroll.

I fully agree & i wonder how the Port hierarchy would have reacted & if in fact they would have been as quick to apologize.

I've known Bucky in the past to be quickly on the front foot to correct an obvious misrepresentation. But he was too diplomatic (smart) to go the man. Just corrected the facts and so never needed to apologise.

Jack and Ferrethead ... now that's another story ...

Noddy the club hasnt released an appology yet, and I am not totally convinced they will. It is only Rucci making the claim they will, and I have no faith in his version of any events these days. Lets wait and see if they do. I would be more than a little disappointed if they do.

I hope you are bloody right.

If they back down (any more) over this then they they will have lost a lot of people.

I for one will be demanding Trigg resign.

as I was saying before I was rudely deleted. In fact the mods on this board are very similar to the Crows incompetant officials.

As I was saying it must be pretty embarrassing for the Crows to have to make this apology. Good on them for realising they made a mistake in the first place, and now hopefully everyone can get on with life. BTW the term ignorant should be applied to Triggy more like it.

Funny how you worded this very differently to the last post.

If you continue to post like the last one, you will be more than rudely deleted - you will be banned.

This is the Crows' Board & you must show our supporters & club respect.

Couldn't have said it better Jars. Criticism based on facts is warranted & one thing, being completely bitter & negative is something different entirely.

I did not show any disrespect whatsoever to you lovely supporters. The only thing I said was that Triggy was an incompetant fool and should be given the arse. Is there a problem with expressing an opinion

Thanks MD, you learn something every day around here.

Not too surprising to see 5 Port supporters voted yes. Not a Crow among them. ( Crapon Egbert, Southernend, ParalowiePower, Powerstufff, and old Jackie boy )
