Let's see if the saints and cats fans voting in this poll (that accounts for bias) have the balls to actually vote for the correct option.

That was more of a free than the one paid to Dane Beams in the dying seconds of our game last week.

Cats got a couple of other very soft ones. Stokes free that he missed was bullshit... zero high contact.

whether or not they have been paying them all year doesn't make up for the fact that it was a soft free kick.

Can't you tackle a player anymore?

That ump's decision totally turned around the outcome of that game. I can;t wait till it happens in a GF.

It's frustrating enough these days to see a kick amongst all the handballs. Do we really want good, strong, hard tackles taken out of the game as well?

Soft...

For a minute I thought I was watching the netball there were that many short hand passes and soft decisions

GROW SOME BALLS!

No wonder I like going to the local footy....

Yep.
It's been a free all year.
It doesn't matter that it was wet and that the ground was slippery, you can't tackle someone from behind and fall onto their back.
Sorry Don.

I just don't get it. You can't tackle someone from behind and fall onto their back?

So...tackle someone from behind and then what? Maybe land on their stomach?

Turn them in the tackle, dont dive into there back, maintain your weight and shift momentum around land on their side or yes even there stomach...Have you ever played football? It's not that hard to do.

Are you saying Cam Mooney has never played footy, too?

Another phantom armchair expert.
Not at all, just that he poorly executed what is a relative simple technique of turning a player in a tackle from behind. The op i responded to was suggesting its impossible to tackle someone from behind and not fall in their back, i was simply replying its quite easy not to fall in there back in the process of tackling.

^^^^ This

With the wet ground, it's very hard to do, but you can't just fall into their back.

Learn the rules of the game. It doesn't matter if it's a final or a regular H&A game, it's the same rules.

Yes because it was all to do with HOW the tackle was laid.

If Mooney had of not been so aggressive with the tackling he would have had the free kick but he chose to virtually do the wrong thing.
