One way or the other yes.

If we didnt get them then a Cole or Cripps would need to be let go.

Also allows us to retain Livingston or a Johnston for another year.

We also have Ryan, Allen and Chesser leaving.

Because Greg Swann was looking after his old club by ensuring they at least get something for Starcevich - possibly an end of R1 pick the way the AFL seem to be engineering it. The continuing insistence by Cal Twomey that our priority pick feels about right for Starcevich despite all logic suggesting otherwise is a tad unsettling. It seems a little too convenient like he knows something - just like he released in advance the details of our assistance package

Agree. It is the equivalent of band 1 compo, which Brisbane would never get if Starcevich left them as a free agent.

I would love to see their faces when/if we package pick 19 and the Hawthorn pick to trade up for another top-ten pick, as Pyke hinted at as a possibility this morning.

Do a Hawthorn and trade "19" and "20" for a higher pick then offer Hawthorn's 2nd rounder?

Yes it's great we get one this year, but they should be looking at scrapping them, not strengthening them
