Pyke sounded like he knows 90% of what they're getting already. He said clearly that they've been talking to the AFL for months and applied for something in line with what others have had in the past.
Wouldn't mind a Noah Anderson type priority pick

Gee, look at the down beat body language and tone of Pyke when asked about the assistance package. He didn't want to be asked about it. Kept batting the questions away, veering off into generalities rather than specifics and had a scowl on his face his face the whole time. Certainly wasn't spruiking or giving the impression that we are going to be super jazzed with what is coming. Then he gets asked about Starcevich and his facial expression totally changes, he cracks a smile and doesn't look like somebody just ran over his cat for the first time in the whole exchange. My impression is we got screwed by the Commission and are going to get pretty much nothing.
Sorry, but this is my current pet hate on this topic. We can't "do an Adelaide" - we can't trade in our best two players for unders and we're not going to magically get some dramatic late career lifts from the likes of Duggan, Kelly and Yeo. Adelaide have done a great job getting to where they did, but we don't have access to what they did so we need the help to level the playing field.

Other than Pyke totally BEAMING at the mention of Starcevich's name, which suggests the club is quite keen, there's nothing particularly interesting to take away from that interview IMO.
