Trying to belittle somebody’s argument based on their beliefs on another point is a pretty weak crutch to lean on...
Also assuming that somebody would blindly devote themselves to a faith, taking its scriptures at face value is a pretty silly assumption.
How many churches and christians/Catholics supported marriage equality? Many.
How strong is the stance of the bible against homosexuals? Very.
I’m not saying that Waleed is the greatest guy on earth or even a great guy. But how do we ever make positive change in the world one way or another if we only exclusively listen to those who are infallible? How “perfect” do you have to be for your argument on unrelated issues to be relevant either way? What qualifies you as a person who is allowed to have a belief?
If we ignored the arguments and opinions of everyone simply because they don’t fit perfectly into a “box”, we wouldn’t believe anyone and would never progress.
