I have plenty of hatred that doesn't involve essendon. There is not one essendon supporter I know or have met that would make me feel regret if they were completely destroyed. My only concern would be that they may in turn change their allegience to the hawks. It would cheapen us all.
Liked because of this.

I still think that every hero needs an arch-nemesis though. Still, like you said, there's a lot of others to hate out there (just not quite so scummy).

If we could get Carlisle or Heppell for unders I'd be happy, but the rest of them can **** right off. Now that Ryders gone, they just don't have that many good players.

While we're all having a lot of fun at Essendon's expense, can we just stop to consider for a moment what would happen if they were to fold? Face it, we need them around, so that we can hate them. If Essendon were to cease to exist, then what'd be the point? All our future premierships wouldn't be quite so sweet, because we didn't win them at their expense.

It'd be like if Batman finally finished off the Joker.

Yeah probably helps that these two teams haven't been on field cripples for the past decade.

Beating Essendrug (and Carltank) is like puppy kicking. An ugly, dirty, scummy, cheating puppy that is.
