I believed last year Cats should have won the premiership but fell short.

Cats have improved their list. Patrick Dangerfield, Joel Selwood, Gary Ablett superstar trio. Really which team can even come close to matching that? Add Mitch Duncan, Nakia Cockatoo, Mengegola to that centre line and Tommy Hawkins up forward who can stop that? Not to forget young guns Kelly, Brandon Parfitt. What AFL young player wouldn’t be confident playing alongside P. Dangerfield, Joel Selwood, Gary Ablett & Tom Hawkins? Can any team match them or will Cats just have a dominant season?

The best list doesn't automatically win the premiership.

They were losing to Hawthorn at the time you posted this.

On their day if they can make the grand final, they can beat anyone provided they have their best 22 available

I don’t think Hawkins & Cockatoo strike fear into the hearts of their opponents. Good players but Hawkins is lazy & out of form and Cockatoo can’t stay fit long enough to have a real crack.

Odd time to post seeing as they are 50/50 to lose today to the Hawks, currently down by 2 goals.

Good thread. I'm literally writing Gil about this issue right now. It's a disgrace that the season is continuing.

Premature statement. Still hanging on. Should be further in front. Just feeling when Cats get going will kick quick 2-3 goals and will be difference. Entertaining game

Yes. I was a bit worried about the Cats depth outside the big 3 but today is easing those fears, especially in Defence.
