I didn't spot one, haha. But I have not seen The Wire in about 5 years.
Orlando the bartender in The Wire - he was the guy in the meeting with the black leaders and had a mo and they'd greyed up his hair
Maurice Levy the lawyer in The Wire
The white guy who worked with Mayor Carcetti & Norman in The Wire
Brother Mouzone - he was the black guy who kept asking his daughter "Are you working today ? What are you going to do today"

and apparantly Clarke Peters [Lester Freamon] was in it.Didn't spot him,so I'll have to look again

Intriguing politics aside, I'm wondering where the show is going with those ancillary characters who live in the public housing, because at the moment I'm not all that interested.

Also, Jon Bernthal should keep being in more things. Guy is a terrific character actor.

I remember trying to watch The Wire but had a few false starts, then it clicked. It was like the story was so big, with so many characters, and it took time for the series to reveal itself. I fear that this series will be over just when that starts to happen.

I'm really enjoying the story, the acting, the way its all put together, I'm just a tad concerned where they're going to get 'story' from.

What a fantastic mini-series.

I'm glad I didn't (and advise everyone else to not) read about Yonkers/Wasicsko before watching the series.

Yeah know a couple that had it ruined by reading up about Wasicsko, glad I didn't, certainly didn't go the way I was expecting it to. Was a solid watch.

I think I started, stopped then restarted the first season 3 times, then I was hooked and binge watched the rest.

Is there anyone more important in the entire television/film medium than David Simon?

Highly compelling/compulsory viewing. Thought I'd spend an entire week with it, ended up going through it in two nights.

That was a defining Issac role. He's been great in everything recently, but he showed so much here. He's unravelling was deftly portrayed. Keener was awesome to watch. Ditto for Doreen and Carmen and their arc.

Credit to Paul Haggis too (still don't forgive him for Crash). The lottery scene and the council meetings had its respective air of heartbreak and intensity.

Not a series, but if I was putting it up against them this would be my favourite (so far) of the year. I absolutely adored it.

My favourite for the year too. Talking about Simon - nobody does a better montage. I've had Bruce Springsteen and Hungry Heart stuck in my head for weeks now.

Hopefully his next show maintains the quality but I'm not excited about the idea of Maggie Gyllenhaal portraying a pornstar
