Both could be seen as the top pick in an open draft though. If JHF ends up the elite game breaker player like Dusty or Petracca it’s game over regardless of how good Diacos becomes as a mid.

But if he ends up at a Raynor level and Diacos at Sam Walsh, well the difference is just as stark.

If they both end up at Petracca and Walsh level, then both clubs are laughing and don’t care, particularly Collingwood who didn’t need a top pick to get their talent.
