Game Day Showdown 44

I usually catch the train or bus in, but have to work this morning so will need to drive in later. I’m coming from the South, where the best place to park? I’m happy to pay etc. I just want to know there’s space so I can get to the game ASAP.

Convention center then walk over the footbridge.

Win lose or draw I want those campaigners from across the road to know that they have been in a fierce contest where we stood our ground and did not get sucked into playing into their hands.

Time for us to be bold and take the game on. I can accept the turnovers if we are prepared to take a risk. If we dish up the same footy that we did against Geelong I will be ropeable.

Paddy needs to have a big game. Jacobs has his number at the moment and Paddy needs to make a statement today and lead from the front.

But there will be one day when you find that nugget of gold...and then suddenly, there's gold everywhere.

And it's fool's gold.

Or that was the only nugget and it gets stolen.

Or, and more likely, you never find any gold in the first place and die lonely cold and penniless

The vibe from the club is that the players are fired up to have a red hot go.

So, from the start I can hope for a well-organised attacking style where the opposition are under score-board pressure from the start.

But, probably it will be more of the same old boring defensive game plan down the west flank and into the pockets where the players have their mind on defence first so the oppo, mind on attack, are first to the ball then through well-placed team mates they whisk the ball away so that our team are chasing butts all day so their initial zest turns to tiredness then they lose confidence and don't offer themselves to the ball-carrier any more. Any of our forward entries are chaos balls or over Charlie's head or maybe onto Jake's head when surrounded by three oppo. And then the coach blames them for not trying hardery for longery. Then Elspeth and Smithson do their usual. I could go on[emoji16]

I will be there. I want a win, but more importantly I want to see a long term change in club direction from victim-mentality to hard-edged confident winners.

If you dont mind a 10 or 15 min walk the Repco carpark at 187 Franklin Street is where I normally park and there shouldnt be any problem getting a park. Ignore the customers only carpark signs I used to work there and everyone else does. Otherwise if you wanted to park a bit closer theres a paid carkpark at Topham Mall but Ive never parked there so I dont know the situation with that one.

Just heard Richard Douglas interviewed saying something along the lines of if they come at us hard we'll push them back on their back foot harder. Sets up an interesting opening.

Sweep the leg.

Hope our players perform like their lives depend on it then we could be a chance, already unacceptable to have had 5 losses in a row to the franchise. NO EXCUSES

Will Oak name a drink after Ken?

Strike hard, strike first, no mercy. I don't want us to take until the 3rd quarter to fire up. It's too late by then.

Clearly some have watched Cobra Kai, so good!

Play in front, get first to the ball, football is a very fckn simple game

Also, keep your phones handy, if you see any shitty behaviour from Crows supporters, share it here or on Facebook, we all know security and/or Adelaide media won't do shit about it

It’s bound to happen that a Port fan does something stupid today.
