Yes, on an inexperienced defender the tactic of using his full body and wingspan worked a treat but Talia can win most one-on-ones. Charlie's not great on fast leads, he needs to keep moving even when the ball's not coming.

For mine, there are 5 clubs who can win the flag- ok 4 and the Cows. Up and running they are as good as any.

We have a chance to end their season. To sneak into their hospital room, find the chord and take their season off life support. Not every day you get a chance like this.

If Port's midfield gets on top (Ken, Chad plays in the midfield now) then our shonky forward setup should get about 60 Inside-50s which will result in about 10 goals. The key then is for our defence to hold them to 8 goals. If Steady Eddie slots 4 or more, that will see them home so that's a huge job. Hopefully his Alexa let's him oversleep.

On our forward setup Ken said prior to the Ballarat game we're going to do a few things differently and we did.
Charlie playing deeper, less pocket obsession with entries, lower passes to our talls and small forwards
leading into space from the square.

Naturally holding them to 8 odd goals would be great, big ask without Dooogs spoiling their talls but gotta trust our trusty defenders.

Not confident?... well fair enough but think back to the pre-season game at Alberton. An arm wrestle in the 1st 1/2
before we squeezed them gradually grinding them into the ground. In fact the more the game when on the further we got in front.

Where I think we can win is the ball use and composure of our newbies Watts Mots and Rocky.
Kane Farrell took a 1/2 to settle last week so i'm hoping the showdown doesn't overawe him
He will never have played in front of a more hostile crowd so carn Kane believe in yourself and show ya stuff

If we win it'd be great post game for us to shrug off the win saying we're focused on bigger fish to fry.

Not sure I agree with that - if roles were reversed today, we'd love nothing more than to put a massive dent in their top 4/finals hopes, and I'm certain everyone in the Crows camp is treating today exactly that way. Only Port's very best will get the job done today.

Charlie has not fired a shot at any showdown. Lets hope he turns that trend around

DBJ to continue his rebound stopper role and sit on Laird today, Evert maybe switched back to the mid to take Sloane otherwise SPP will get the job. Deny these two the ball and we’re well on our way to winning it.

Would be nice to be up by 4 goals at half time but I don’t see this swinging outside of 15 points either way for most of the game.

Ports to win hopefully but it will be close.
