Best to not react let ot blow over true believersNo-one at the Club feels like addressing 60,000 members on the actions they're taking following the biggest ever showdown thrashing?
Thought not...
Matthew Nicks on 360 tonight said that the Crows "had [their] foot on the throat the entire day".
Can anyone remember the last time we did that?
We've had the occasional blow-out win in recent years - Sydney in R22 2024, Carlton R22 2021, etc. - but I can't remember us winning a game in anything like the commanding fashion that Adelaide did on Saturday.

And I'll second that, probably going right back to 2000 as when he should have been thrown out. More to the point, he shouldn't have even been elevated to the job in the first place - Cahill should have been left alone to finish the work he started, not been a sacrificial lamb as a result of the petulant tantrum of another underperforming showboater who Cahill knew was never going to be good enough to build a team around, but whom Williams' helmet was regularly buffed by, ensuring he got his way and delaying success by another 5 years, not to mention being an overrated, over publicised passenger in all but ONE season. Yes, you know who I mean. Like it or not, as much as I might agree that Hinkley might be a fraud and not a coaches bootlace at this level, it's just groundhog day. Seen it all before, same beltings, same lack of effort, guts and pride in the jumper, same destruction of players' careers by not playing them to their strengths etc etc ad nauseam ad infinitum. Anyone who can't see direct parallels between this and 1999-2003 and perhaps to greater emphasis, 2005-2010, is just delusional. It really is sad to see such a proud, traditional club sink to this level.I would have sacked him after 2005, as I’ve already stated. So, for me, it’s obvious that the 2007 GF loss was a sackable offense.
In my view, Choco was already “playing with House money” for 2 seasons.

He should have been allowed to scuttle off to Carlton in 1998 like he wanted and really put his reputation on the line. Would have been found out a lot sooner and with a lot less pain to Port.Things have gone very quiet re Tredders. I thank him wholeheartedly for caring enuf about our club to put his football reputation on the line. Good call Tredders.
To all the other previous PA players - you should be ashamed of yourselves.
Ridiculous comment. He should have been allowed to scuttle off to Carlton in 1998 like he wanted and really put his reputation on the line. Would have been found out a lot sooner and with a lot less pain to Port.
Shooting fish in a barrel is no challenge, unless of course, you can't shoot straight to save yourself. Enough said.Ridiculous comment.
Shows how piss weak the club isNo-one at the Club feels like addressing 60,000 members on the actions they're taking following the biggest ever showdown thrashing?

He and all the other Port greats, pathetic !You know what? Ginevar can actually get ****ed. The tme to say this stuff was years ago. He kept quiet. Now that Hinkley is out the door he dares say something? He's safe to say it? Well mate, its years too late. The horse bolted a long time ago and you kept quiet. We know what you thought privately, but you were too spineless to say it publicly. Weak as Piss. You are as complicit as anybody.
Crows claim 4 of the top 5 biggest wins.
The two biggest wins are both against Hinkley with two different coaches, Nicks and Pyke.

You honestly don't think our win over Sydney last year wasn't utter domination?
So much for the ongoing mythology that Port ‘treat Showdowns like their Grand Final’.

At the risk of sounding like Hinkley in his presser after the game (saying nobody should question our workrate, but also that our effort was the reason we lost): it was obviously dominant, but I don't remember it feeling relentless. I'm sure the whole game felt relentless to Sydney fans, but I remember feeling like we still eased off in the second half.
Perhaps it's just bias (recency, negativity, etc.), or perhaps a decade of Hinkley-inspired fatalism means I'm not able to be objective about the quality of our H&A performances (because I/we all know they don't really matter when we can't win a prelim)?
We've treated some of them like the 2007 GF.
I actually laughed reading thatJesus, I hope Josh finds more conviction with his public messaging when he takes over. Because this is non-sensical garbage.

I love when this campaigner smacks us in the media
Sounds a bit wishy washy, I reckon posters are in for a bit of a surprise next year.Jesus, I hope Josh finds more conviction with his public messaging when he takes over. Because this is non-sensical garbage.
