Kicking under pressure is his issue then. That's one thing i loved about Wingard when kicking for goal.
A match winner, 20 and 2, 2 AA's in his first 4 seasons, clutch goal kicker. No wonder he didn't fit in with Hinkley.

I love Wingard. It pains me we traded him.

I think kicking under pressure is Mitch's issue. I also think he has it in him to turn it around. He will also have two great developing tall talents in Whitlock and Cochrane that will eventually help ease the burden.

It is one of those things where Mitch is kinda our forward line. Apart from Durdin, the rest of the medium forwards don't kick goals. Whitlock is still young. We have had Softkosius and Visentini playing third. If the young Cockle brother comes back from injury and shows some form, Carr would have to seriously consider him as the third tall.

Flashpoint, Motlop, he is floating on air.

Not always.
It shouldn't have come down to that. We were 17 points up with less than three minutes to go and Crows kick three goals and all of a sudden we trail by a point. Normal clubs don't do that.

X scores had us winning that by 9 points, bad kicking is bad football. We could easily be 7-1 or 6-2 at worst. Still a lot of work to do but much more to be positive about then last year when most weeks we went out and embarrassed ourselves

Took a mark and Tillthorpe came from behind to spoil and hit JHF on the side as he came through and connected with his hip. After this clash JHF was feeling his side and then fell out of the game.
JHF was getting massaged in that area at quarter time, grizzly Adams bump didn’t help the cause. He pulled lame after that hit.

Normal clubs? Like Collingwood on Friday? Showdowns are like finals and the home team definitely has the advantage when things get close. I agree we should have won under the circumstances and the final 40 seconds was a brain fade but Im hoping losing that game will inspire greater learning of how to win close games.

Medal votes;

Kane Cornes (SEN)

3 S Berry
2 Milera
1 Wines

Tom Wilson (ABC)

3 S Berry
2 Aliir Aliir
1 Milera

Monique Van Der Heyden (FiveAA)

3 Milera

1 S Berry

Shaun Burgoyne (Fox Footy)

3 S Berry
2 Aliir Aliir

Bernie Vince (Triple M)

Is anyone surprised that Kornes is the only one that didn't give Aliir any votes?

If you're going to be a smartarse about this, Collingwood have a wayyyyy better record in close games than us. They've even beaten us a couple of times in close games under McRae. They didn't even lose on Thursday night, they salvaged a draw when they had key players out. They didn't even play on Friday night by the way...

Just confirming that Kane Cornes is still bitter and twisted about his brother getting the sack. Imagine how much pain it would have caused him if we'd won.

The entire thought process that went into the last 40 seconds left a lot to be desired.
You’d think they would have a worked out plan for this situation.
Looking at it I doubt they have, maybe it’s something they can look into and practice.
When Carr and the bench started high fiving when we hit the front, I cringed.

They should have been barking instructions to the players on field, getting them to focus on setting up, etc.
Not prematurely blowing a load.

People may think this is insignificant, but Josh blamed himself for the lacklustre loss to the Roos, so I think he may agree with that observation?

Save the eruption of emotion for when we’ve actually got the chocolates!

Your life sounds pretty terrible if a game of football has that effect on you. You should seek therapy.
Good luck saying that to a Tottenham fan because they might get relegated and their most fiercest rivals, Arsenal, might win the Premier League and Champions League...

Did the crows not do the exact same thing after cook kicked the goal?

Be a smartarse? Geez petal, calm down. This was your comment "We were always going to do something dumb in the last 30 seconds to lose the unlosable with everything in our favour because that's what we do." I just pointed out that we've won a showdown before in exactly the same way the crows did last night. Motlop kicked a goal in the last 20 seconds after the Crows had kicked the previous couple. And thanks for pointing out that the pies/hawks game was Thursday, very true, it's important we get that detail clear. Cheers.

Yes agree completely it did look very Hinkley like.
It’s not over till it’s over.

Flashpoint, Stevie Motlop!??

Both 2013 Showdowns??
Crows Media don't remember those Showdown's and the Motlop game should never have gotten that close and we should never have been in that position. We were 17 points up with less than three minutes to go and then 90 seconds later we trail by a point. Once again, we make things so hard for ourselves. I rather get a percentage booster in Showdowns.

To be fair the camera panned to the bench the moment the ball went through, I find it odd that people expect the bench to not celebrate a potential match winning goal. Don’t think that is what cost us the game

Hopefully they air all the crow throws but doubt it.

Couldn't beat them without 6 best 22 players off a 5 day break and 2 rotations down for 3 quarters. I wouldn't hold your breath. Their shit midfield seem to beat out overhyped mids everytime.
Why do you have to lie? 3 quarters down 2 rotations is an absolute lie mate so **** off. They had Butts until 3rd quarter. Text was off yeah but so what? He was making no difference anyway in that time he was on. They had nothing in the first half and Port were up on majority of the stats including thumping them in clearances stats first half. It was the 3rd quarter only that they got off the chain whilst also having 7 frees given to them to ports 1 free and in stupid moments, whilst also never pinging the crows players for blatant holding the ball tackles inside ports 50 for one and several HTB not paid that lead to their goals including a clear and obvious scoop throw by Rachelle to Thilthorpe resulting in a throw that the ******ed AFL posted on their socials...

Their midfield came out harder in the 3rd only. It also the same quarter where Peatling was getting away with holding Hornet out of the contest and without the ball.

They have 2 players out. Dawson and Keane. That's it. Tex is up and down and clearly was and would of been irrelevant in that game.

Port have Rozee for starters out.

A younger side with a lot of games LESS in experience who were leading and winning in all facets until the 3rd and still won the 4th quarter.

You're a clown. Legit.

Overhyped midfield? Hornet and Butters. That's it. Butters is primarily a midfield where as Hornet is forward and midfield.

Unsure why you aren't removed from the port board as this account of yours PAFC66 is clearly a troll account and you're not a Port supporter.

It was clearly a behind.. These clowns want the ARC for keays goal and now don't want it for a blatantly obvious point.. Could tell before the ARC showed it and Soligo knew it wasn't a goal by his body language.
