Quite possibly but we will never knowIf Tex didn't get injured I reckon we had a better chance of winning
Was more referring to Hawthron and Geelong, should have worded it better. Are they? Seem middle of the road both Adelaide and Geelong
Yep. The way we dismantled Geelong last week gave me great hope for the future.Bullshit, our future looks brighter.

It would certainly make me far less frustrated although I would miss their kicking skills. This however does not compensate for everything else they are poor at.If Marshall and Lukosius never played another AFL game for Port Adelaide it would make absolutely no difference to us developing as a side.
Poor Richmond next week.......Channel 7 news going to review the umpiring decisions that could have changed the result.
Here we go ...
Yep. I felt the club as a whole overdid the celebrations of the Cats win. Too much social media hype. Also way too much hype around Georgies 100th game & I felt it put more pressure on him. Carr needs to limit this & keep everyone on an even keel. Good clubs take great wins in their stride & focus on killing off the next opposition. I'm sure the club will learn from this. When Carr and the bench started high fiving when we hit the front, I cringed.
They should have been barking instructions to the players on field, getting them to focus on setting up, etc.
Not prematurely blowing a load.
People may think this is insignificant, but Josh blamed himself for the lacklustre loss to the Roos, so I think he may agree with that observation?
Save the eruption of emotion for when we’ve actually got the chocolates!
Carr jumping up and down didn’t cost us the game.To be fair the camera panned to the bench the moment the ball went through, I find it odd that people expect the bench to not celebrate a potential match winning goal. Don’t think that is what cost us the game.
Wouldn’t put it past some of the players to make a hack of it. Idk what sweet was thinkingCarr jumping up and down didn’t cost us the game.
Us having no plan whatsoever at the last centre bounce plus some panic when they went forward did cost us the game.
We played the centre bounce like it was halfway through the game.
The coach should have an installed plan for this situation with 40 seconds to go.
If he did the players made a hack of it.
Well that’s it ,Sweet doing what he did is exactly what the Crows needed to have any chance.Wouldn’t put it past some of the players to make a hack of it. Idk what sweet was thinking
Is that on Carr or Lobbe as ruck coach? Or just Sweet not knowing or panic.. You'd think runners would of been out and Sweet and mids would of spoke about it before the ball up. Terrible decision though and just put more panic on Port players and not so much crows players. Too many mistakes though after that by experienced players unfortunately.Well that’s it ,Sweet doing what he did is exactly what the Crows needed to have any chance.
You need to keep it tight not out in the open.
Don’t make sense to me.
Sweet is 28 years old and is in his 8th season. When we are up by less than a kick, he shouldn't need anyone telling him to drop the ball on his feet to create another stoppage, rather than smashing the ball into space (near Rankine) when all our mids are on the defensive side and we have 2 of our least explosive mids at the contest to top it off.Is that on Carr or Lobbe as ruck coach? I've said they're a bottom 8 side this year. Their midfield is absolutely terrible yet still manages to beat ours every game. There's more chance of Port winning next week's free kick count.

It is probably the most diplomatic I have felt over a Showdown loss.
I think it is because I feel so confident we are actually going somewhere under Carr.
Add another year of experience and exposure to the game plan and we win that game for sure.
So feeling confident in the future in don't mind getting the picks for Dougie and letting the Showdown loss burn until the 2nd one of the year.

Lobbe is the ruck coach, that may explain a few things.Neither of our rucks have much of a football brain. Are the ruck coaches helping develop these players?
Which is why I still can't understand why Hinkley saw out his contract. If Carr had taken over at the start of 2025, who knows how much further advanced this team would be by now?It is probably the most diplomatic I have felt over a Showdown loss.

. 100% correct. Corn is twisted little prick. If his brother was still employed by our club he wouldn’t have a negative thing to say. Also our performances are highlighting what a dickheads he and melon head King are.The criticism of Port's recruitment strategy by Cornes is of course sour grapes.
But developing a team to win the flag is the priority. Not taking part last year was a show of long term thinking.
That showdow was a good experience for where we're at. Invaluable for all the inexperienced kids
