He's been a solid performed for them this year. He and Soligo just tough it out against us more often than not. THey are JHF and Butters' kryptonite. Neither of our guys stay in the fight long enough against them. Wines and Drew did their best.

Realistically, we played into their defensive set up for most of the game. It was totally different from the game against Geelong in that way.

It was that second half of the third quarter that killed us. We returned to stupid dump kicks out of the d50, straight to their extra numbers and it went immediately back in. If Aliir hadn’t played as though his life was on the line, we would have lost by a lot more.

Also, we didn’t prepare to go around Milera or make him accountable.

Butters had moments but his disposal was off all night. Visentini was great in the taps, initially but fell off.

Taking into account how badly we played and how many players failed to contribute at all, there is a lot of upside that you can take from that performance.

I thought we had it with the Berry goal, just had to lock it down at the bounce. But no, the umpires found a juicy soft free to give Adelaide one more roll of the dice and they took it.

I don't get all the criticism of our players, they put finals pressure on us and we kept in touch the whole game. They stopped our running game for the most part but what i saw tonight was again better than any Hinkley slop of the past few years.

Lucky to even be in it. Have a 30 minute period like that against a good team and we would've been played off the park.

Midfield absolutely smacked for large parts by a bunch of triers and no names. Stagnant ball movement, no run from behind, costly fumbles. Very ordinary night for us.

Positives where a few green shoots in Whitlock and Berry standing up.in big moments, Lai getting better. And of course Allir sensational.

Dont recall ever getting the right end of the umpiring before so a shame to waste that.
