Aliir's last 2 games have been brilliant but we cant expect him to keep doing this. We desperately need another quality tall defender. Marshall is not the answer imo. Hopefully Rat is back soon.

Only watched nearly 3/4s so can only comment on that but too many non-contributors. Our Berry was horrible, plays like an U15 year old. Can our coaches teach Viscentini how to play football & get him to build some upper body strength. Gees, it's his 5th year.

Felt we were too defensive and led to the pockets too much & then missed the goal attempts. Not much link play tonight, have to partially credit the Crows for closing us down. We had to stop Milera's influence earlier.

Just not enough composure, often from perceived pressure rather than actual pressure.

Also who said Aliir couldnt defend one on one and sucked under pressure? Mans brought thilthrope to rundle mall paid for his shopping and tucked him into bed then got chucked on murray (which any competent tall defender other than marshall could of done) and outbodied and played him to perfection. Aliir played 100% game time and went at 70% disposals efficiency dudes a friggin wilderbeast

When Adelaide were getting on top we clamped down and stemmed the bleeding enough to give us a chance. Then just grinded away until we hit the front. That's a massive improvement. Ordinarily the scoreboard pressure would cause us to turn to liquid.

These close losses are annoying but we're on the right track.

One thing I noticed is I thought our ball movement was far more stagnant than against Hawthorn and Geelong. Less use of the corridor and less risk taking.

That's not really an odd one, it's an easy one - should not be playing.

Would've been nice to watch that mob lose, but can't say I'm upset. We were the better team for all but a patch of about five minutes, the kids in Whitlock Berry Evans and Lai all stood up really well, and we maintained our draft pick. Like the Hawks game, another perfect long term result.

One negative comment; drop Jacob Wehr to the Port Districts reserves, pay out his contract and delist him. Offers nothing offensively, and directly responsible for two goals including the winner defensively.

What game were you watching?

The crows had 20 more inside 50’s.

Our midfield got obliterated for a fair chunk of that match to a state league level midfield.

Nothing good to take out of that game other than a confirmation we are still Adelaide’s bitch.

We were definitely beaten through the middle in the last half but JHF had a knee to the back that slowed him down that added pressure to Butters.

Butters is a good player but sometimes i wonder, he doesn't kick enough goals and he needs to work on his disposal by foot. I think the way he plays is very taxing and with Jason not functioning at a 100% and no Rozee is why IMO he fell away in the last quarter.

Crows have always used the same game plan against us by clogging the corridor.
We still haven’t worked out a way around this.

Noticed this too. Was very noticeable compared to last 2 games where we took the dangerous kicks through the middle again and again. Might have been because the game had more heat. Players were visibly second guessing themselves at times.

Crows did there homework, werent going to allow easy centre corridor movement.

We were lucky to even come close. We were efficient early , yes. The better side , no.

The better side is the one that scores more points. Take out 3 minutes either side of three quarter time and we won that game by 5 goals.
