Have a feeling everything will click tonight and we will smash em.

I was at their game last week and what impressed me was their hard running and ruthfulness.....but that only started once Geelong geared down after the first few minutes and more so after the injuries they copped. Second half Geelong were playing out time.

Port could sense Geelong thought they could win in cruise mode (after dominating first 10 minutes) and pounced.

We need to start well, hard this year, and keep the foot down.

But yeah, I reckon this is the game it all clicks and we just blow out all the crap from the first few weeks.

I think we'll win FWIW. Port will struggle to back up their manic energy from the last two games and we'll scrap our way to a 3 goal win.

Going to be a painful watch either way IMO. If they play at their best and we're off we'll get done, we need to be better.

I get losing games to put pressure on the coaching group, but not this one.

In theory we have a better structure after dropping an extra forward and bringing in ANB, whether or not we dropped the correct one is certainly up for debate. Need a massive game from our midfield.

I think we win, but I am by no means confident.

We should be good but we suck. They should suck but they're good.

If they win it's a nightmare, if we win it's just us winning one we'd have had pencilled in at the start of the year as a guaranteed win.

Just has the feelings of a loss with one of their most annoying players playing out of their skin and one of their biggest potatoes having a career best night.

If not covid then some group transmissible lurgy, their pressure rating was running about 60% of their normal. We had it last week. The Lions had it vs the Demons. Port played the last game of gather round so they likely haven't had it yet. The Cats had it last week. Factor in typical incubation of 4-7 days the 7-14 day deficit window is knocking on their door. Let's see what happens.

Yeah agreed, sneaking into finals won't do much.

The media has had the blowtorch on us this week for playing the complete wrong style of game. The rest of the comp has taken off in one direction and stubbornly we're doubling down on continuing to push even further the other way.

Our current style will get torn to shreds in a final. 4-4 is nice but if we're playing this style we could be 7-1 and still be no chance in September.
