Curtin is back, Hopefully his knee issue is fixed and he's rarin' to go. I don't expect he will be 100% quite yet but welcome back to the big stage fella.

Which you derailedJust bringing the conversation back on topic. This is a showdown match thread if I recall correctly.
That’s a massive in. Can’t wait for him to find his groove. Let’s hope it starts tonight. If Soligo brings his SANFL form with him too, that’ll be handy!Curtin is back, Hopefully his knee issue is fixed and he's rarin' to go. Knowing our luck we'd end up with 4 concussions and a few corkies.Get every player to give themselves an uppercut and a hefty kick up the arse and hit the ground fired up.

It’s scary because i honestly don’t think either of us are in any convincing form, and although the bookies have us as favourites, it’s not overwhelming favourites. First time in a very long time it’s anybody’s game.Despite what they media say , I think most of the showdowns in the last 5 years have been semi predictable.
This is the first one in awhile where I feel like anything could happen
At his next job interview after the Crows Board has come to its senses and sacked him, he'll be asked:well since we are suddenly making this about his statistics, he has the second best showdown coaching record, only bettered by Don Pyke. Even if we lose tonight, he’ll remain second best showdown coach we’ve ever had. But I actually don’t want to defend him or his stats, because that’s not what I care to do. I’m just sick of every thread being hijacked.

I saw the 54 straight away, but ...Not to be that guy, but it's Showdown LIX.![]()
I think he meant "never under Nicks" ...Gee imagine being that pessimistic.
You'd be under the only rain cloud in the Sahara
Well, if they were an inspired, determined-to-leave-it-all-out-there team, I'd say (or hope) they'd bust their guts for their skipper and torch the ferals. How do you think the boys will go without Dawson? He will definitely leave a hole. It must be so tough what he’s going through
Hopefully both Tex and Filthy can get off the chain and kick10 between themeach.
Please.Get every player to givethemselvesNicks an uppercut and a hefty kick up the arse and hit the ground fired up.
& Soligo & Cook. With no Dawson, we need Rachele, Rankine, Cummings and Peatling to have big games tonight. They need to dominate the middle and around stoppage.
Hopefully both Tex and Filthy can get off the chain and kick 10 between them.
Don’t have too much confidence in winning right now.
It’s an interesting statement. Is it me or is Walker the only player with a bit of biff in him? Not suggesting the rest of the team are “nice guys”, but I don’t recall seeing other players fired up. Love to see beast mode in Filthy!Well, if they were an inspired, determined-to-leave-it-all-out-there team, I'd say (or hope) they'd bust their guts for their skipper and torch the ferals.
Woz says hi.It’s an interesting statement. Is it me or is Walker the only player with a bit of biff in him? Not suggesting the rest of the team are “nice guys”, but I don’t recall seeing other players fired up. Love to see beast mode in Filthy!
I love Keane, the angry Irishman. Is it me or is Walker the only player with a bit of biff in him? Not suggesting the rest of the team are “nice guys”, but I don’t recall seeing other players fired up.
, for Kemosabe (the wrong brother). We were an angry team last year. Every week we had someone getting reported. It’s an interesting statement. Is it me or is Walker the only player with a bit of biff in him? Not suggesting the rest of the team are “nice guys”, but I don’t recall seeing other players fired up. Love to see beast mode in Filthy!
I loved this postLook here it is a showdown and badly badly want to go 3 games up but the facts are already there whether some like it or not . Now fact is over a week ago very confident . Today very pessimistic re our chances .
Why
Selection why with all the other non performers why are we dropping a defender that ok not in best form but who is aggressive on the opposition and with the ball and leave all those other non performing plodders in team.
We find a kid that at least knows how to get ball clear out of centre square with a big body but drop him leaving many non performing players that can't get a possession in team.
Much as much as dislike him Carr ,he has already shown he is a better coach by getting good results from average squad .
Our man keeps out smarting himself , like the 3 rucks last week ,tell me one person who thought that was a good idea .
These are the reasons going into a showdown that we should win easily because of our talent that now is 50-50 is why Nicks is being mentioned in showdown topic.
Ch 70 on my TV tonight, from 7p.m.
I have no idea how the Crows are strong favourite for this game. It is the least confident I've felt going in to a game since 2024, especially off the back of some bizarre team changes.
BuggerI no longer live in SA so we miss out.
Port have also lost to WCE, North and St Kilda this year. It's all because we made the finals last season and Port didn't.
2026 is a totally new season!
