I've always rated Darcy Byrne-Jones strangely enough, quite underrated IMO.

He's (and Bonner) taken over Pittard as that whipping boy. Makes Hartletts absence that much more noticeable given he reguarly turns it over.

I dont fault his endeavour though, it's just that his turnovers would result in opposition shots in goal so look far far worse.

Everyone has those types in their team though.

I think we cheered Chalmers when he went to Port, and Port cheered Downsborough when he came to us in that nil-all trade in 1997.

Oh I still havent recovered from that loss as well. That debacle in defence that allowed Slops to kick a goal in the last play still is hurting me.

CEY's progression this year has been very pleasing to see. I'm very keen to see if it continues. Also Kelly's disposal has improved. He seems to be more confident and relaxed with it. I know he is a player that puts in a lot of work to get all he can out of his talent. He does cover the ground and is a good, strong build. It seems to me he has benefited from the 60 games we have been able to get into him.

Both of the above have pleasantly surprised me in recent week and I'm look forward to seeing if this is sustained and so can be considered genuine improvement.

I think it's a combination of knowing Adelaide matches will get good crowds regardless of time slot and businesses want Crows supporters to dine out in the city after the match.

I always get concerned when Broadbent is in their team. Low and behold he has been bought back in just in time for a showdown. Hope we are weary of him.

Dan Houston is the bigger issue I think. Sets up a lot of scoring from his intercepts.

He's one of their quicker players though, so if they have a designated role for him this week it makes sense. Better than sticking Mayes in the side or someone like that.

He misses we make Finals and probably still have Sando as coach.

Port miss Finals and probably don't have Hinkley anymore.
