Even with all of Ports outs its going to be tough to win after a 2 day less break and a tough game against Freo.

I remember when Emma Quayle had us linked to pittard in the draft year we ended up with I think Talia.
Someone in the know I asked whether it was true he said, "pittards good is exceptional, but his bad is terrible, you can't trust him, so we won't draft him"

I thought it was harsh at the time because I didn't mind him, but every time I watch him play I think how spot on those words were about him still.

Gibbs seems to hate Port more than anyone. So you'd probably want him.

Believe he all but deliberately injured Gray on multiple occasions in his Carlton days, bit of a history there.

I think a few here need to go and read last years first showdown game threads on our board before passing such judgments...

Amazing to think they will be missing: Wines, Ebert, R Gray, Wingard, Polec, Watts , Hartlett, Jonas, Dixon, Pittard ..... Basically just need to shut down Westhoff and probably Motlop/Boak then basically playing kids.

John Butcher is my favourite all time Port player.

Even with all of Ports outs its going to be tough to win after a 2 day less break and a tough game against Freo.

I thought we would roll the Cats earlier this year based on a shorter prep time when they played us away.

Mind you I expect Port to come at us hard several times during the game even if we happen to lead comfortably at some stage. Wouldnt surprise me to see us overrun in the last.

I still havent recovered from Monfries goal to win the Showdown at Footy Park that turned right angles instead of going for a behind.
