If ever we need to win a showdown to keep our season alive, then this is it. Time to get back some respectability. So what changes to we make for this week? Heard today that they reckon Benny Hart should be right, so he should come straight back in. Would like to see Rutten given a go too.

Possible side:

B: Hentschel, Bassett, Hart
HB: Begley, McGregor, Massie
C: Burton, Ricciuto, Gallagher
HF: Stevens, Perrie, Johncock
F: Bode, Rutten, Carey
R: Clarke, Stenglein, McLeod
I: Hudson, Edwards, Doughty, Schuback

IN: Hart, Rutten, Schuback
OUT: Bock, Burns, Jericho (needs a 4 quarter run with Westies)

We won't get within a bulls roar. Port will smash us. This will be no contest. The season is over already and what we should concentrate on is playing youngsters to see who is up to it.

Dont be fooled and build this up as anything but a floggin' to the heartless Crows.

Last time we were smacked by Porks Thirds....next week it'll be Porks Seconds.

Port by 12 goals

On today's effort the margin will be bigger.

If we really dig in, 12 goals could well be the margin.

Not sure if you are making a point or not, but I would suggest waiting until the teams are listed before making any predictions.
Apart from Carr, there seems to be a cloud over Dew and Chad Cornes as well on top of the ones out already.

We seem to pick up major injuries every week.
If we keep going at this rate, by the time we get to the second showdown we will have to forfeit the game through not having enough players. :(

Don't get me wrong, Port are and should definitely be favourites, but just by how much is debatable at this stage.

PAfowlr its not the first time we are coming up against undermanned Port side. we have done it in the past and we have come up shorthanded. We are an absolute rabble and even if we were at full strenght I doubt we would beat the Power. Its going to be a long bloody time before we win the showdown again. I would love to see it but it will be a while.

I think we'll lose.. But imo, I think it'll be a close game.

What's more of a perfect time to win, than against Port Adelaide!

Just imagine how much crap the club & players are going to cop in the media, just left, right & centre after their effort today.. I think, (or more hope!) that they'll go out there with something to prove, and actually go out there playing football for a full 4 quarters (like it should be!)

We copped a hell of a lot after round 21 last year but still came out and lost. Admittedly we tried but were just outclassed in the end.

My god I hope you're right. You probably are, but every game of footy can fall either way. Don't count our chickens yet.

When is Biglands available? This week or next?

There has been some talk of Rutten returning to the side. Fair enough too he is the one KPP we have who is fit and playing good SANFL footy.

However, I wonder if the club will keep him out of the side and wait for Biglands to return. Does anyone else think they will play the three ruckmen - two working in tandem on and off the bench, the third on the FF line?

Biglands has one more week to serve so he will be back after the showdown.

I think its a fair chance we will play 3 ruckman and Biglands being the key defender. I think we will use then the same way we did against Freo. I remember Craigy saying that we would like to use Biglands on big forwards a bit more so i guess he will be a key defender for the rest of the year.

Irony is the lowest form of wit. The only way that we (Port) would win by that much at the 'G is if we realised that it is a straight line to the goals there as it is anywhere else.

I'd take the result though.

In Smart Ladhams Reilly

Out Jericho Bock Burns

I would pick Torney if he is fit

If Rutten plays then Carey or Perrie will have to miss out and I guess it may be Perrie given the run he gets with the coaching staff.
