Does the timing of this signing have anything to do with the new deal the players association announced last night. We'd be able to give Shuey the money he deserves.

On 6PR it sounded like this was agreed in principle a while back and I think it's safe to assume they just wanted the CBA to be finalised before committingDoes the timing of this signing have anything to do with the new deal the players association announced last night. **** me this board has gone to the dogs. Cant post anything now without copping s**t for it. From former mods too!
Especially when you look at all he's been through as a teenager and a young man, it's very hard to not love the bloke.Would have been a RFA at the end of next year and would have commanded a fair bit more than this
Don't think there'll ever be any doubt how much he loves the club and he's remained true to his commitment very early in his career to be a one club player
Only if your a 10/10 bird.I dont get it?
Sorry mate, just spent two days troubleshooting and finally just got it working, was in a shitty mood in between.Chill out buddy, was just stirring ya. Nothing malicious.
Hearing him talk last night on 6pr he sounded very pleased and loved his time here ever since he moved over, said he is great terms with the club and felt they have been generous with him. He was in a great mood and having digs at Karl, he said it'd be a great honour to captain the club and something he'd look back on with great pride if he was given the opportunity but also spoke highly of the job Hurn was doing as captain (who i think has stepped it up on field recently and has spoken well publicly and seemingly frankly and honestly to the playing group privately).Would have been a RFA at the end of next year and would have commanded a fair bit more than this

He got a 4 year Deal. He'll be 32 when it ends so it's not too bad as most player play decent footy at that age.Glad he signed, but don't like 5 year deals. Would rather have paid more per year for a 3 yr deal - the number of WCE players who don't drop off a cliff after 30 is very small...
Whatever faults our club has, retention isn't one of them, it's impressive how few players leave WC.
except at WCE... thought it was to the end of '22 - 5 years from now? So 4yr extension and still has a year left on his deal? Maybe they're trying to get ahead of the next tv deal...He got a 4 year Deal. He'll be 32 when it ends so it's not too bad as most player play decent footy at that age.
This CBA also runs until the end of 2022 so that may have been a factorexcept at WCE... thought it was to the end of '22 - 5 years from now? So 4yr extension and still has a year left on his deal? Maybe they're trying to get ahead of the next tv deal...
