Was that blood? Geez that was horrible to watch. The sort of thing that makes you not want to step out on a footy field again.
BUT - secondly - what the hell was he doing returning out to the field again? The guy's just copped a shocking hit, vomited his guts up, the result is beyond doubt with five minutes to go. What if he'd copped another hit? Your thoughts?

i would imagine that Thompson wants Lonergan to get as much time on the field as possible. He's being groomed for a KPP spot, i think. He's got a long way to go.

Free kicks aside, no-one likes to see players hurt to the extent where they get physically ill........yet good old Dermie seemed to revel in it.....the references to baked beans, yesterday's breakfast ...etc..etc were embarrasing to the point where even Dwayne Russell found it necessary to try to shut him up.

I hope your boy is OK.

As for Brereton....I find his "commentary" beyond contempt

most likely a combination of whatever fluid he drank at three quarter time, and bile. i initially thought it was blood, but his re-emergence onto the ground a few minutes after he went off suggested otherwise. he would NOT have been put back on the ground with internal abdominal bleeding.
