The fact they dropped him after Rankine got suspended makes his selection last week even dumber. The must have thought it was Murphy, which is crazy.

How many times has been dropped now this year? 4 times? More than any other player (& Smith doesn’t really count as he is a temporary replacement). The fact they dropped him after Rankine got suspended makes his selection last week even dumber.

Surely, surely Nicks & Co have finally wprked out he is never going to be AFL standard.
I'm not saying he'd be elite. But when the baseline is the contributions of Pedlar/Cook/Murphy/Schoenberg, there is a chance it clicks in the sense that he becomes a far superior contributor. That in of itself is an important contribution.

This makes me worriedHe's been okay, his speed is undeniable, but his disposal has been poor at times and his decision making has been a bit scratchy as well.
This makes me worried
Finals are gonna be high pressure games, if he’s still in the side he might be one of our weakest links
Not saying he isn’t going to end up a very good player, but is he currently too green?
Currently below average decision making and disposal is a recipe for disaster, for finalsNah, I'm not worried. This is an opportunity coming for the lad that 2 weeks ago looked like he was no chance. He's got speed, he's an elite talent - leave him in the forward line to cause a bit of havoc and panic the defenders with his speed.
It's the right move.
Sloane is a moronThe most distressing part of this ordeal was when Sloane mentioned the squad covering Rankine's loss and highlighted Murphy.
It's a sick joke
It’s likely he would come out for rash or be sub. I’m hoping Dowling cements a spotThis makes me worried

I'm hoping Sid can give us a bit extra from stoppage and up forward.
He has been tackling, getting clearance and i50s at SANFL level.
Huge upside, our structure will protect him somewhat.
He can't be the cake, not the cream, but the cherry on top.

The issue for Draper is going to be that Pedlar should be available next game with Rachele as a maybe, so it's going to be quite difficult for him to retain his spot up forward. Similar to Dowling though he's got an opportunity, and we certainly aren't going to miss Murphy.
That’s the thing. I’d assume Sid will replace Izak’s role, and will get some CBAsWhat difference does it make when everyone who has played as a 7th forward has been our weakest link?
Assuming we don't do something stupid (i.e. give Sid CBA's) for this finals run.

Is there a Billy thread ? I couldn’t find one. He deserves it imoI’m very confident Billy will step up
Feel like we have nothing to lose by rolling the dice. This makes me worried

If he can have a cracking game against North this week, he'll play all the finals IMO.I’m very confident Billy will step up
Disagree. Both he and Jagga Smith were considered the most ready-made propsects of a stacked draft. Sure, he's had an interrupted preseason, but he added enough speed, spark and chaos when thrown into midfield against the premiers, albeit in a practice match. He does share those qualities with Izak more than anyone else. It's a slim chance of fully clicking, but still a chance, comparative to the outputs of the other options.Even far superior is probably too optimistic. Draper is effectively going to do nothing because that's the way we've built our side.
The at best case with Draper is we get Taylor like performances where it's effectively nothing, but there are one or two moments throughout the game. In the end of the day, Sid is a 1st year player who is built like a 1st year player, and these games are going to be hot.
A lot of players don't really come good until they get 150 games under their belt.Thats what we said the 2nd and 3rd time last year and this year.
