In the player interviews, Sids IQ really stood out vs almost everyone else interviewed by a LONG way. Lots of “happy go lucky characters” and some even quite downbeat or perhaps shy (Langford) but Draper seems a super smart and driven kid who will get 100% out of himself and be the consummate professional.

Future captain - I have no doubt.

Dustin Martin was shy.. i don't care how well they speak.. as long as they can play footy and play it very well and be a gun for the club.

A little peeved at Dixon interviewing the players and all the Vic kids before Draper got pumped up no comments about their looks and body and then Draper got what's that fluff on your face looks like you've been growing it for 3 years. I know it's supposed to be all in good fun but just perpetually making fun of South Australians on a nationally televised event run by the AFL is not the least bit surprising.

I watch the Panthers regularly and track their players with more interest than anyone but Mutineer, and so I was horrified when JHF finally got to Port.

Draper's game is different to JHF's game but is equally as damaging. Not quite as explosive, but has more composure and better disposal.

I tells you all now, Draper will be not only a gun for the AFC but he'll be a star of the AFL.

Will be interesting to look back on this draft class in 10 years time to see if it is the super draft as claimed by the experts and who are the surprise packets and who are the first round duds.

It's a pity we don't have a second round pick (burnt this years 2nd round picks on Curtain and ANB) but on paper it seems we have done well this off season.

Excited to get Sid though.

Big bodied mids: Dawson, Crouch, Edwards, Curtin, Cumming

Small/medium mids: Rankine, Peatling, Soligo, Draper, Laird, Dowling, Taylor

Thats a big selection headache

I haven't heard Cumming mentioned as a mid before (v.happy if he can be)

I suspect you could get away with 4 people. Given we were only going to have 1 pick and we already knew what it was, we probably could have just had 2.

Silvers being the CEO probably doesnt need to be there, but at the same time its a big deal to draft the highest rated SA talent to the club he loves.
