'His' performance like he was responsible for Rankines slur, or Rachele coming back at the toughest time of the year etc. Funny how quickly the goal posts moved from 'must make finals', and then when he coaches a side to the minor premiership, its also his fault we didnt win it all. No way Dawson, Rankine, Ah Chee, Peatling etc come to the club during the Pyke, or Sanderson era, Nicks has significantly improved the culture at the club.

Until he gives us reason to? That’s some of your finest work there. Do I really need to list all his errors? The list is too long, but I’ll give you some golden oldies and then focus on his finals coaching:

Played Matt Crouch on the wing
Went rogue bonkers and changed our attacking gameplan to focus on defence, leading to our 2024 shit show.

Then on to the finals:

Pies
Chose 9 defenders against Collingwood
Played Max out of position, whilst Elliot beat Bond
Played a slow safe gameplan when all other sides attacked, we were the lowest handballing side in the finals. Our first switch was half way through the second quarter against the Pies. We kicked it so often to a spare Moore he had the most intercept marks in a final.
Didn’t tag Daicos.

Starts Rach as sub when we needed a spark front the get go

Jeez, If you're as old, seasoned as I think you are, you should know how this works.
Sh*t teams have end-of-season spurts..... when it doesn't count.
They are useless until they are up against teams who have their eye on the finals.
The players are looking at their next contracts. They want to go out on a high. More so for a home game. Big incentives to win.

Good old West Torrens (my club back in the day) perfected this to my disgust. It's a pity those "seasons" didn't run in reverse. We might still be a thing.
