Probably not because JLo was dropped for Polak who is coming back from injury.

Tall for tall. I don't like the balance of our side at all. It appears that we are too worried about Sandilands.:(

Maybe but then they would have Pavlich, Polak, Snake and Clive all playing one forward line. Wouldn't that be a bit top heavy??????

If Pav does play forward then we will use Biglands as a key defender probably on Snake.

I don't buy the "we're too top heavy bit" at all.

Carey can't really count as a tall any more up forward, because he can't mark above his head. He's very good at getting a loose ball though, almost playing as a small around goal.

If Hudson plays FF, then Carey becomes the floater up forward rather than the focus. If Carey and Welsh got 5 between them and Hudson did nothing but compete and get the ball to ground he will have done his job.

Alternatively if needed, Kenny could go back to CHB if needed (I wish he was there) and Carey to CHF.

It gives us options we didn't have last week.

One thing I'll guarantee about Hudson - succed or fail, he will have had a red hot crack at it!!

One thing I can tell you is that Clarke and Biglands will be **** scared that Huddo got a game. We will not play 3 ruckman in all our games so it means all ruckman must play to their absolute best if the want to keep their spot for next week. Another crap performance from one of our ruckman and its see ya later.

I would love to have Kenny at CHB and in form Perrie at CHF. Might be while until we see this but I am guessing until this occurs Kenny will be our CHF.

Is anyone else disappointed that Bode is not in the side??????

I thought he was one of our better players against Roos and he got dropped. He played well last week and still doesn't get a look in. It would appear that coaching staff are not all that keen on playing him.:(

Definitely out of favour at the moment. I thought that he played okay in the game before he was dropped, but there's obviously something that the coaching panel aren't happy with. It could be his diposal but that would apply to half the team.

Who would you have dropped to include him Stiffy?

I wouldn't have played 3 ruckman. Either one of the ruckman or Begley.

I think Begley's inclusion is a bit interesting. He was far from impressive for Sturt against Norwood. He was opposed to Patfull who was named in best players for his club. Could Begley be the inclusion to run with Pavlich??????

I doubt it, Stiffy - he's not renowned for that. I would have thought that was Stenglein's job this week.

Then I can't really see the reason Begley is in the side. Maybe he is a match up for Clive. I find it odd that a bloke like Bode who is better form than Begley gets the axe while Begs gets a chance.

Anyway, go Huddo!!!!!!

_F: _ 17. Scott Welsh _ 2. Wayne Carey _ 26. Jacob Schuback
HF: _ 18. Graham Johncock _ 16. Ken McGregor _ 27. Scott Stevens
_C: _ 33. Brent Reilly _ 32. Mark Ricciuto _ 24. Brett Burton
HB: _ 3. Kris Massie _ 37. Trent Hentschel _ 9. Tyson Edwards
_B: _ 8. Nathan Bassett _ 35. Rhett Biglands _ 7. Nigel Smart
1R: _ 4. Matthew Clarke _ 36. Simon Goodwin _ 23. Andrew McLeod

INT: _ 13. Ben Hudson _ 20. Tyson Stenglein _ 28. James Begley _ 21. James Gallagher

One tall too many IMHO :(

Has this been confirmed as the side for Sunday?

Whilst Bode is a good and under player, against the Roos, he burnt the ball too often (still at least he got it I suppose!!!). He would get it and kick it forward without looking. Whilst it may not have been obvious to those watching on TV it certainly was to those at the ground that day. Still, I would have him in my side given the lack of players I his type.

His disposal, even at the Power was a reason he did not get more games.
Plus his pace is a concern, in a midfield that needs a bit of injection of pace. Combine with the big Subiaco ground, and you can understand why he was left out.

Good to see Schuback, get another game, his composure and pace last week was excellent. He with Gallagher, deserve based on form, their spots over Bode. In addition they add more pace to our midfield.

Having said that, we are seriously missing some hard nuts on our list. This is probably the main attraction of Bode.

Think laterally Stiffy. He adds versatility

Begley can play on a wing if either Burton or Reilly are getting caned and neither of these 2 have been dominant so far this year.

Alternatively if we have problems up forward we can move Begley onto a wing while Burton goes forward.

Begley can also play in the backlines if needed. He's 6'2" so he adds a bit of height but he's also very quick.

My opening side would be

F: Carey Hudson Welsh

HF: Johncock McGregor Goodwin

C: Burton Ricciuto Reilly

HB: Massie Hentschel Smart

B: Edwards Bassett Gallagher

R: Biglands Stenglein McLeod

I: Clarke Stevens Begley Schuback

I doubt that they will do this, but Hudson at FF IS a player who can contest the high ball with Carey as the leading forward and Welsh and co to mop up.

Farmer and Medhurst make life tricky for the backlines with no Ben Hart.

They might line up differently but those are the players that will play on sunday. A bit too top heavy I think.

Edwards on Farmer and Smart on Medhurst.

Playing a small on Medhurst is a recepie for disaster. He is exceptional overhead and is one of the strongest small forward in the league. You need a bit of height, pace and strength on Medhurst. Smart is the obvious choice. If Hart was available I would have played him on Medhurst.

Freo have a lot of talls, we might need that extra bigman.
We have however to compensate for the 3rd bigman, ensured we have a lot of pace around the ball.
Looks a fair team.

Except that Fremantle dropped Justin Longmuir. I think we have 1 tall too many especially on Subiaco where you want quick runners.
