Leon Davis didn't train today, so I'm guessing that's why McCarthy has been named.

Leon had a corked thigh in last weeks game, so they will probably give him every chance to play.

No way, Tarkyn Lockyer can never play in the backline again, and I MEAN NEVER.

He was absolutely terrible against StKilda back there. Lockyer is a half forward, and that's all he is now.

MaCaffer can play just about anywhere though, without having a huge impact on the game, he will just play the role asked of him.

If Buckley comes in as a tagger please don't send him to Judd. Maybe Murphy but even then unless he has done it in the past with success don't risk it.

The only way Carlton win is if their midfield kill us. Lets not give them a chance to be in the game at all so if we are going to tag Judd and co lets do it with Johnson, Wellingham Thomas. We need to kill the game early like the last few weeks. Don't let them smell it.

I hope for Buckleys sake he doesn't come in. He was less than impressive in the NAB Cup. This is a huge game massive game. If we lose to Carlton and Buckley has a shocker I don't even want to think about what the backlash will be. Much better giving him a run when the stakes aren't so high.

No change, don't think the Caff deserves to be dropped, not everyone can play well in a given week even in a 65 point thrashing. Dropping players after 1 average game is to reactionary - at least in the caffs case.

I've got a sneaking suspicion that Buckley will play instead of The Caff, don't know why just my gut feel... Maybe because he is more agile than Caff and can go with Carltons small forwads for agility and speed, PLUS he might be able to hurt Carlton going forward..

I think Lockyer will come in for Macaffer. Hopefully he regains his '09 form. I do agree that he should'nt be playing in the backline. He should be playing predominantly in the forward as a flanker. If he regains his touch, he'll be good for a couple goals a game.

I wouldn't be surprised though if McCarthy comes in for Davis or MacAffer, the club really does rate the shit out of him.

Lockyer would be more suprising given he didn't play at all last week, and I don't think Buckley is ready just yet. Goldsack was unlucky not to make the 25, but I'd expect they've set him a specific fitness target and maybe he isn't there yet. L Brown not named in the 25 may again be due to not having played at all last week.

Intresting they Dropped Warnock for Jacobs who is Just Big and does not Much. Not Scared at all by that side

I think you'll find that Jacobs has improved a great deal over the off season. He's looking extremely fit, and won't be the clumsy big oaf that played a few games for us last season.

I think Ratten will try all of Warnock/Jacobs/Hampson at different stages throughout the season. Warnock hasn't shown enough over the first 5, so it's Jacobs' turn. If he spuds it up, I wouldn't be surprised to see Hampson come into the team.
