We have more than our fair share of players who can't hit a leading target. Percentage wise I don't think Sidey is worse, in fact I think he is an above average kick. He is more noticeable because he gets the ball more often than others.
Still would have someone like him who connects 10 out of 15 times than someone who hits 2 out of their 3.[/quot doesn't theat work out to be the same?

I think that's the point. He's saying someone with the same efficiency but a lower possession count flies under the radar but Rusty gets highlighted.10/15 = 2/3
Yeah. I re-read it and thought the same. I'd rather him get the pill 15 times and hit 10 targets than only getting it 3 times and hitting 2I think that's the point. He's saying someone with the same efficiency but a lower possession count flies under the radar but Rusty gets highlighted.
He has a major flaw in his kicking action, he tends to force the ball onto the boot to hard instead of placing it, at times his kicking can be quite good but when it's off it's way off, i started a thread about his kicking last year when he went around 4 weeks without hitting a target, he needs to get rid of that ridiculous ball drop IMO.
Yep, got it in one.I think that's the point. He's saying someone with the same efficiency but a lower possession count flies under the radar but Rusty gets highlighted.
He is hardly a bad user of the ball but with us all keen for him to take the next step ala beams, can he do this if he keeps landing balls on toes?
In all my time watching footy, I've never seen a player kick so many underweighted passes. Although he is capable of a clever finish and generally shows pretty good vision, his actual kicking is ******* sloppy. It's always been an overrated part of his game.
I think his kicking was poor towards the end of last year, and seems to go downhill when he gets a bit tired.
I still think he has a fair way to go to make it to the games top echelon. But at worst he is still a very handy player.

I think u underestimate his workrate, the amount of times i have seen him get back to the last line of defence and get a hand in, tackle or gather a loose ball is impressive. His kicking was poor towards the end of last year. His kicking has been only slightly above average for his entire career.
And I think at BEST he is a very handy player (apart from a couple of excellent games) and at worst, he is just an average to slightly below average contributor.
I dont think fitness is his issue, one of the hardest runners in the side in my opinionThen he needs to work on his Fitness
