So will the club bring in Torney and Welsh for round 9 after they both played well in the SANFL?
I doubt it. I think they will have another 2-3 weeks in SANFL to get some match fitness back.

There is only so many underdone players you can take in a game.

You posted that at 4:50. One minute earlier:

Wallace masterminds Richmond AFL victory

May 20, 2006 - 4:49PM

The Crows did not adapt well until the last quarter and Craig took some of the blame for his players not manning up better on their opposition.

"That could be a level of criticism of myself on that, to allow that to happen," he said.

But Craig saw it as ultimately a good learning experience for his highly-fancied team.
His use of "good" gives me a wave of nausea only. If he'd said "fantastic" I would actually vomit.

A two point loss to West Coast can hardly be compared to a three point loss to Richmond. Based on both teams form, the loss yesterday was equivalent to a 15 goal loss in my book.:(

I really think we need to put this loss into perspective. We've been up for so long now, with all the travel we've done in this year we were bound to drop one. OK in theory we should have smashed Richmond but footy is a funny game. We're not the first top team to be toppled by lowly team like Richmond and we certainly wont be the last. They got killed the week before so like Craigy said they were going to come out fighting. They needed to win any way they could. Tactics played its part and the rest is hisory. Unfortunately for us the other Afl teams will try and emulate the same tactics. We need to get this sorted out now, not in the finals where the cost will be a lot dearer. So, as bad as this loss was, in hindsight it could be a lesson we had to learn now so we are better prepared come finals time.

You surely can't be THAT delusional?

The only people who are delusional are crows supporters in thinking they are actually a quality unit when they can't even beat an undermanned team with basically just a bunch of kids playing for them.:D

According to Caroline Wilson you had THREE of your best players out, well she kind of forgot that Adelaide were missing five of our starting 22 and then lost a major part of our backline during the game. It's not an excuse, as every team is only as good as their depth but a little perspective please.

oh and Tigerboyz, were you one of the people behind me at the game yesterday that was booing your own side for kicking it backwards and chipping it around? But are now lauding it as a great thing? ;)

well that wasn't us or any of the about 1000+ people that went to the after match function after that loss. I never heard the booing afer the game at all, we clapped them off like always.

Why don't you check the ladder?!?

Check it again at the end of the year too

With all the talent in the world but you still couldn't save yourself from the indignity of losing to an undermanned tigers side.:o

I was actually nowhere near as mad as you lot and I saw it first hand and took a lot of notice of the tactics of Richmond. The problem is that the TV view is vastly different to watch actually is happening off the ball and the biblical flood that was occuring.

Plus I will support my team no matter what - probably my South supporter experience coming through :p

Disappointed more like it, not mad. But I do get a bit under the collar when people clap incipid performances overall. If they clap any player that has done well in a loss that is fine.

I have never and never will boo or have a go at my team, except once when we played Carlton a couple of years ago. We were 30 odd points up at quarter time and looked like to win in a canter. But we played dumb footy and let them in for a close win.

I saw people clapping that performance and I did vent my spleen for the lack of effort. That put an end to the clapping. ;) They didnt deserve it. ;)

You are supporting your team by going and doing a great job. Keep it up. :thumbsu:

It was your fellow Tiger supporters. Very passionate lot, just some is misdirected.

One Tiger supporter overheard me chatting to my mate in the 1st quarter that they were dragging us down (successfully) to their level. Well he went troppo! Told us all to go back to SA (including a Saints supporter) & then claimed at least they weren't perenial cellar dwellers (WTF?) His fellow Tieger supporters told him to shut up as he was an embarrassment to them & his poor kids. All clubs have them - just some more than others!
