So you both actually think McPharlin will stay on until he is 36 like Fletcher or Brent Harvey? I dont think so. Players over 30 rarely get 2 year extensions unless they are very good players, in Which McPharlin is one of them. McPharlin signed at 2 year contract at the end of 2012. It takes a good 3-4 seasons to develop Key position players. Zac Clarke played 8 games in 2 seasons before he was a fringe 22 player in 2011.

I just dont want to Freo to End up at what the Saints went through after 2011.

If McPharlin goes 1 more season then Fair enough. But if McPharlin and Johnson Both retire at the end of 2015, our back line will take a big hit.
