Yes, we lost today. No, I'm not too pleased at how we went about it. But I had a feeling that if we had won, we'd have still come up short in Round 22 against Port Adelaide, same as we did in 2005.

Ninth is the worst place to finish.:o

Now, we are back down in 13th again. Now we can play the old stagers (i.e. Cook) against Melbourne, as well as some younger blokes, and probably still send him off in good fashion. It will be interesting to see whether Harvey keeps Cook in the team.

With a win against Melbourne, and little to play for against Port in Round 22, we will probably end up on 10-12. This will most likely see us finish 12th or 13th on the ladder (depending if Essendon win another game).

So the ideal situation regarding draft picks would be...

We beat Melbourne but lose to Port (10-12).

Essendon beat Richmond and probably lose to the E-girls (11-11)

Carlton beat either Kangaroos or Melbourne (to give up their priority pick).

If this happens, I think I am right in saying that we will have the #4 pick in the draft.

I have to agree, Schwabby has been going up and down on a silver lining that does not exist(mild steel shaft maybe). 6th,7th,8th 9th what ever.... not acceptable. Our season was finished 10weeks (as far as acceptable is concerned. I have been a season member since inception. The past two years I've been an interstate member....Not next year!
Failed to recieve any club magazines, or propaganda. << I know this seems incidental but when interstate and not getting any info:(. recieved tickets to FFC v CRows on Wednesday b4 game after being told we would miss out.... WTF?
Could have bought better tickets to AAMI at same price 'at the gate!'. Still waiting on tickets to PA rnd 22. Rang them today (apparently sent), but tickets went on sale today, may as well have purchased them in two weeks and got better tickets. I don't see the point anymore!
The incentive for interstate members is finals ticket availability. HMMMM:rolleyes:
It's ****ing pay day Freo. I think they made the wrong decision with CC. Personally i'm feeling everyone at the club has taken what little prosperity for granted.
My sackings would start with Schwab. I know he's done some good financial things, but the disdain with which members are treated :thumbsd:. Personally far better value with amatuer club membership..and more honest performances.
ps. actually I may not get any tickets to the PA v FFC game..why? because I apparently had to send the form off b4 the "function". "The Function", has it been yet? at my house? ****ing hopeless Freo. I was actually hoping Pav would move here to SA, because i could have run him over at the airport. at least I would have contributed
btw. if from Dockerland....go **** your mother

:D That's an angry rant if ever I read one.

There was a piece in yesterday's Pre Game liftout in the Worst, about how Peter Wilson came to be an Eagle. Point is, he was saying that Cameron Schwab (who was at Richmond at the time) was really unprofessional and unhelpful. I don't know if it's true - but I wasn't a fan of the cronyism between Schwab and CC.

Harvey looks like a man who doesn't tolerate fools. I think we've got a winner with him at the helm.

No more trading picks! It is a travesty to think that we traded away our first pick and Medhurst for Tarrant. Tarrant! He was sh$t today.:(

Its time to take care of all the loose ends and shut up shop. This consists of giving senior players with injuries an early holiday, to get them ready for an early preseason . A sentimental sendoff for retiring players against Melbourne. Massive game time for the young'ns. And playing all tradeable players into form. ie. kick it to Murphy

With Harvey pretty much secured and Pav in the bag lets start thinking about next year.

In fact, I think Cameron Schwab's first move at Freo was to trade away our #1 draft pick for Trent Croad.

There should be a rule that says - first round picks cannot be traded.

Not happy, Cam.

2001: traded first 3 picks for croad and mcpharlin
2002: traded first 2 picks for headland, but traded brown for a first rounder (schammer)
2003: kept all picks and got dunn, murphy, mundy, peake and johnson
2004: traded first 3 picks for josh
2005: kept picks and got drum ibbo and warnock
2006: traded first pick for tarrant
2007: ???

Cameron is actually pushing the AFL to allow clubs to trade future draft picks. I guess he figures that he can't do enough damage by just trading one first round pick, he wants to throw them away two at a time.

Is Schwab a gambler? I've been told that Rick Hart takes atleast $5,000 with him to the races each Saturday.
