Simpson surpasses the 142 consecutive games played by Jim Francis between '35 & '42. Kade’s consecutive games played started in Rd 15, 2005.

Probably mentioned elsewhere, I feel deserves its own thread (if not, please merge).

What an absolute steal he was in the draft. One of our best ever club men! Thoroughly deserving of this piece of Carlton history. Congrats Simmo!

Everytime Simmo does well, I am reminded of an ongoing duel with this guy.

Simpson was a fair talent at u18 level but was over looked because of his size and so was still available late in the draft. Basically he is too small for league footy. Carlton had to take a risk given its draft picks, but this one wont pay off. I feel the same way about marty mcGrath.

Hahahaha! Good 'ol Phatty, I remember having some epic arguments with him.

Can remember I was critical of Simmo early on as he played a bit selfish. .. Would give a hand ball, in such a way as to make sure he was likely to get it back and also move to receive it even when a shepherd was the better option. .. Was a small thing but it annoyed me. .. He turned this around toward the end of 2009 and he has been a better player for it. .. Great to see him getting rewards for his efforts. ..
