y would troy simmonds give up the chance to be in a premeirship side in stkilda who are a genuine contender and instead chose to go to the woodenspooners and get spat on. he obviously only plays footy for the money not like most players who say they play for finals and a premeirship

even if it was a huge contract, stkilda do hav more than enough 4 him if we were to give heath black for him

he would have been stkildas number 1 ruckmen as seen in 2003 before sandilands was developd, he was playing really good footy and winning the ruck, stkilda need a ruckmen, this is why i think he isnt a good pikup, if he isnt here for the winning simple the money, wat an idiot!!!

If the Saints had picked up Simmonds then they would have been premiership favourites for 2005. Why in gods name would you choose richmond over st kilda. And more importantly why do AFL clubs offer 5 year deals anymore. Surely they have taken learnt from the Mercuri/Kouta debacles.

If you're going to make generalisations about a team such as calling Richmond supporters all spitters, there are far worse things we could say about being a St Kilda player so I would suggest a prompt biting of the tongue.

Question: Were were St Kilda 2/3 years ago? You should be able to work out the rest from there.

Re: Saga continues....

Don't forget Gaspar's massive contract. $immond$ In, Otten$ Out. They have Terry Wallace locked in, Richo is going to give the Tiges more of the same so the same saga never ends at Tigerland. On the flipside, they can enjoy singing the theme song with GUSTO as wins are hard earned @ Punt Rd.

Good on the Tiges for looking after Jimmy's son, Andrew.... good luck son.

St Kilda supporters would have you beleive that a premiership is all but sealed.
Newsflash sainters.... You have to win it, it's not handed to you.
StKilda are a great side but far from unbeatable. Again the saints will struggle in the ruck next year.

Ever thought Simmonds might want to play a large proportion of his time in the forward line? He certainly wouldn't be able to do that at St.Kilda. I'm not sure the amount of the contract was the issue, rather the length of it that got him to Richmond. Maybe he preferred to go under Terry Wallace than Grant Thomas. Who knows?

I also find it continually hilarious that people will call someone else an idiot when they can't spell or structure sentences correctly.

Firstly i'd like to apologise to the decent St.Kilda supporters who actually have an IQ higher than 12 for the following statement.

Pol06: Why would anyone want to play for, or even support, a side that has averaged ONE wooden spoon EVERY FOUR years for over 100 years?

Gaspar has taken a decent pay cut and Simmonds sounds like he is going to be on about half of what Ottens was on, there's a change happening down at Richmond to stop making these stupid mistakes we have made in the past.

Although I'm all for developing our nation with the experience of technology, posts like this actually add to the argument that primary school kids shouldn't be exposed to computers too early. This little tacker is too young to have an opinion on anything. Take your play-lunch outside champ, get some fresh air. There's a good boy.

Beer: If your so confident of your Nostradameous like skills, why dont we make a lil wager hey.

If Richmond wins any of the next three wooden spoons, I will donate $1,000 to a charity of your choice.

And if we dont win any spoons in the next three years, you will also donate $1,000 to a charity of my choice.

So what do you say?

Oh your mummy only gives you $10 pocket money a week?

Nah Im just earning a bit of money now... and hopless at saving.. Plus Id rather gamble :p

Im also extremley confident that we wont be at the very bottom again any time soon.

There's worse lists than ours, last year we were soulless, heartless, and coached by a ******.

Yes, it's amazing how a coach can go from being good to being terrible, and make no mistake, he was terrible this year. We would start games well, opposition would make changes, get on top, and we could do nothing to counter it. The coach was unable to react to the opposition and make the changes needed at the time. Plus the number of players played out of position throughout the year was shocking. Combine that with the clear lack of fitness and poor skill level and it is impossible for DF to come out of this looking respectable. ****** is too harsh a word, but he is certainly not worthy of coaching again in the afl anytime soon in my opinion.

That ****** happened to coach Richmond to a preliminary final a few years back.
Robert Walls coached a premiership.

What's your point?
