Godfrey is only 26 but would probably end up in the SANFL like Nelson and Begley who were considered good taggers a few years back...

Whelan (also originally from SA) would be a better pickup as he's a classy small defender who can play midfield too.

Sometimes i wonder if people think before they post.

Godfrey has shocking skills, doesnt get the footy enough, and is slow. His work rate is excellent but thats just not enough at this level.

If he was going to be kept on Melbournes list he needed to add more strings to his Bow and he just didnt do that and lasted longer than he should have IMO
