Any thoughts from people on this one?

seems to be linked to us a fair bit as an assistant for 2011. Wondering what others think.

He'd be a fantastic appointment.

All clubs generally have a recently retired player as an assistant and if we were to go down that path you'd be hard pressed to find a better candidate.

Certainly worth a look, as he's just retired he knows the modern game, whether or not he can teach it is the question. Others I like the look of would include Peter German (former North Melbourne midfielder, previously assisted at Hawthorn, West Coast and Fremantle, currently at Williamstown/Footscray), Mark Neeld (former Geelong and Richmond player, currently at Collingwood) and Shane Woewodin (former Melbourne Brownlow medallist, currently at East Fremantle).

As for replacing SOS, Justin Leppitsch (former Brisbane CHB, assistant coach, currently at Richmond), Sean Wellman (former Essendon backman, currently at Melbourne) and Peter Dean (former Carlton backman, currently at Footscray) strike me as the best options.

Should do what we can to hold on to Tudor, give him a pay bump and second-in-command role. Don't want to lose him to Gold Coast Gays or anyone else.
