Not sure it was necessary to make public a super vague excuse for Gawn being beaten today. Xerri is already a ****in gun and arguably already overtaken Gawn anyway, and it's not like he had a shocker.

The really rough thing about the Dees is for years their obvious hole was in their forward line.
But then they managed to concede 125 points to North, which makes you at least question their defence (of course you need to aknowledge that May isn't there and Lever hurt himself later in the game).
.. and a large reason it happened was because they were shown up a bit in the midfield.
Not at all an ideal situation to be in with the list. I wonder if they may concede a rebuild is necessary, and hang on to Goodwin as West Coast did for as long as they did with Simpson.

Possibly, although it's more our style to ruin highly touted, up and coming coaches during our rebuilds...

It’s a really awkward time as well, because I imagine the Freo and Dogs roles (the only other jobs that may be available) are a bit more appetising.
